Welcome to StoryPlayX! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the StoryPlayX website, our AI interactive storytelling platform, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). The Service is provided by Quantum Times Network Technology Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, making a purchase, or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

StoryPlayX is an online platform that allows users (“Users”) to create, share, and play AI-driven interactive stories (“Digital Content”).

2. User Accounts

  • Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old. If you are between 13 and the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms.
  • Account Security: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Purchases and Payments

Our Service offers two distinct types of digital goods for purchase.

  • a. Fixed-Term Memberships:
    • We offer premium memberships (“Memberships”) that provide access to advanced features for a specific, fixed duration (e.g., 30 days, 1 year).
    • This is a one-time purchase for a set period and does NOT automatically renew. At the end of the term, your access to premium features will expire unless you purchase a new Membership.
  • b. “Points” (Virtual Currency):
    • We offer a virtual currency called “Points” that can be purchased via a one-time payment. Points can be redeemed within the Service to unlock specific content or access features.
    • Points are a limited, non-transferable, revocable license for use within the Service only. They have no monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and are not personal property.

4. Refund Policy and Consumer Rights

Our refund policies differ for Memberships and Points. Please read this section carefully.

  • a. Refund Policy for Fixed-Term Memberships:
    • All purchases of Fixed-Term Memberships are final and non-refundable.
    • By completing the purchase of a Membership, you agree that the service (i.e., access to all premium features for the entire term) is considered fully delivered to you immediately.
    • Therefore, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to Membership purchases, as the service is provided in full upon payment. You acknowledge and agree to this waiver when you make the purchase.
  • b. Refund Policy for Points (Including the 14-Day Right of Withdrawal):
    • For users qualifying as “Consumers” under applicable law (e.g., within the European Union or the United Kingdom), you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase contract for Points within 14 days of the transaction date, without giving any reason, provided the Points remain unused.
    • To exercise this right for a refund on an unused Points package, you must contact our support team at feedback@storyplayx.com within the 14-day period.
  • c. IMPORTANT — EXCEPTION AND WAIVER FOR USED POINTS:
    • The 14-day right of withdrawal described above is immediately lost once you begin to use or redeem any of the Points from that specific purchase. For example, if you buy a package of 1,000 Points and redeem even one Point, you forfeit your right to a refund for the entire package of 1,000 Points.
    • BY COMPLETING YOUR PURCHASE OF POINTS AND BY REDEEMING ANY PORTION OF THOSE POINTS, YOU EXPRESSLY CONSENT TO THE IMMEDIATE PERFORMANCE OF THE AGREEMENT AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU THEREBY LOSE YOUR STATUTORY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL FOR THAT TRANSACTION.
  • d. General Conditions:
    • Outside of the rights explicitly stated above, we will only provide refunds where required by mandatory provisions of local law or, at our sole discretion, in cases of verified, prolonged technical failure of our Service preventing you from using your purchase.

5. User-Generated Content

  • Your Ownership: You retain ownership rights to the content you create (“User Content”).
  • License to Us: By posting User Content, you grant StoryPlayX a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, display, and distribute your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use the Service for any illegal purpose, post hateful or infringing content, or attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the Service.

7. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account without notice for any breach of these Terms.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service.

  • Information We Collect: We collect account information (email, username), payment transaction data (processed by third parties), and usage data.
  • How We Use Information: To provide the Service, process payments, communicate with you, and enforce our terms.
  • How We Share Information: With trusted service providers (like payment processors), for legal compliance, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell your personal data.
  • Your Data Rights: Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, or erase your personal data.

8. General Provisions

  • Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
