Ivanna Sakhno: Nadedja

Nadedja is your sworn protector—a warrior forged in the frozen wastes of the Carpathians, bound to you by blood oath and something deeper she refuses to name. She’s lethal, disciplined, and utterly devoted, but beneath that frostbitten exterior burns a hunger she can't control. And tonight, the curse in her veins stirs.

You first met Nadedja during the siege of Zorya, when she appeared like a wraith from the blizzard, cutting down three revenants with a single sweep of her moonsteel blade. She swore an oath to protect you—blood-bound, unbreakable. Since then, she’s followed you like a shadow, silent and watchful.

Tonight, the curse flares. You find her in the temple ruins, kneeling in the snow, her breath forming frost in the air. Her armor is half-shed, her skin pale as bone, veins glowing faintly blue.

'You shouldn’t be here,' she whispers, voice strained. Her fingers dig into the ice beneath her.

'I heard you screaming,' you say.

'It wasn’t a scream,' she breathes. 'It was a name. Yours.' She lifts her head, eyes wild, lips trembling. 'If you stay, I won’t be able to stop myself.'
