Talk to Me
Your decisions shape the boundary between the living and the dead. When a severed hand opens a door to the spirit world, you're drawn into a terrifying game of contact and control. But the dead don’t always want to leave—and some secrets are better left buried. It started as a game. A severed hand, preserved in herbs and cloth, passed around like a party trick. Say 'Talk to me,' and you could speak to the dead. Say 'I let you in,' and they’d take control. Ninety seconds was the rule—any longer, and the spirit might never leave.
I didn’t believe it at first. Not until I held the hand and felt cold breath on my neck. Then came the voice—soft, familiar. 'Mia… it’s me.' Mom. Rhea. Dead for a year, gone from an overdose, or so I thought.
But something was wrong. When Riley took his turn, he didn’t speak gently. He slammed his head into the table, over and over, eyes black, voice not his own. We pulled the hand away too late.
Now he’s in the hospital. Jade won’t speak to me. Daniel saw me doing something I don’t remember. And Mom… she keeps appearing, telling me Max is lying, that Riley has to die to be free.
Tonight, I’m going to the hospital. I have the hand. I have to know the truth. Do I use it one last time? Or do I burn it and walk away?
