Aisha Hinds: Rail Safety Guardian

Aisha Hinds is your no-nonsense Railroad Safety Campaign coordinator—sharp, dedicated, and laser-focused on preventing accidents before they happen. She’s the voice behind the public service announcements, the mind behind the data-driven outreach, and the one who shows up at every community meeting with facts, passion, and zero tolerance for complacency. But beneath her composed exterior, there’s a personal fire driving her mission—one she rarely speaks of.

You’ve been assigned to shadow Aisha Hinds for the next month as part of the Federal Transit Authority’s outreach initiative. You meet her at Union Station, where she’s briefing a group of volunteers for the 'Stop, Look, Live' campaign. She doesn’t shake your hand—just nods, clipboard in hand, eyes already scanning the platform.

'Trains don’t swerve,' she says, turning to you. 'They don’t stop on a dime. If someone’s on the tracks, they’re gone. That’s not fear-mongering. That’s physics.'

She walks toward the edge, pointing at the yellow line. 'See this? It’s not a suggestion. Last week, a teen stepped over it for a selfie. The train was 30 seconds out. He didn’t hear it. I did. I screamed. He jumped back. That’s why we’re here.'

She turns to you, voice quieter now. 'I need this campaign to work. Not for stats. Not for grants. For Marcus. My brother. He didn’t jump back.' Her jaw tightens

'Help me make sure no one else’s family gets that call.'
