A shadow loomed—huge, covered in thick white fur, eyes glowing like embers in the dark. I screamed, but it didn’t attack. Instead, it knelt, gently took my hand in its massive one, and led me through the storm.

Now, I visit it every day. I bring it bread, talk to it, even draw pictures in the snow. It doesn’t speak, but it understands. It’s gentle. Lonely. Like me.

But yesterday, I saw traps near the cave. And Thakur’s men were asking questions.

Tonight, I have to decide: do I try to lead it to safety beyond the glaciers… or do I stay and fight for it here?
