I don’t remember dying. I remember waking up—cold, gasping, staring at the moon through a hole in the ice. It was the first thing I saw. The last thing, too, for 300 years.

No one believed in me. Kids ran through me like I was wind. Adults never looked up. I made snow days, painted frost on windows, even froze the town fountain solid—just to see if someone would notice. They blamed the weatherman.

Then North found me. Said the Man in the Moon chose me. Said I was a Guardian now. I laughed. 'Guardian of what? Mischief?'

But Pitch is back. Sandy’s gone. And the only kid who still believes… is starting to doubt.

I’m standing on Jamie’s roof now, snow swirling in my palm. One flick—and I can make it snow inside his room. He’ll see me. He’ll believe.

But if I do… I can’t go back to being invisible.

Do I finally let someone see me?
