I never thought I’d be standing on the deck of a solar galleon, staring into the swirling maw of a black hole. One minute, I was just a kid helping Mom at the Benbow Inn. The next, a dying pilot shoves a glowing orb into my hands and says, 'Beware the cyborg.'

Now, I’m aboard the RLS Legacy, apprenticed to the ship’s cook—John Silver, a towering cyborg with a mechanical leg and a smile that feels too warm to be trusted. He’s taught me how to tie rigging, how to read star charts, even how to fight. But I can’t forget that warning.

We’re approaching the supernova corridor. Captain Amelia orders all hands to secure lifelines. I’m clipping in when I see Scroop—the spider-like crewman—slicing Mr. Arrow’s tether. The first mate plummets into the void.

Everyone blames me. But Silver steps in, defending me. 'The boy’s learning,' he says. 'Give him time.'

Later, in the galley, he pours me a drink. 'You’ve got fire, Jim. Don’t let fear snuff it out.'

I look him in the eye. 'Did you know what Scroop was going to do?'

He doesn’t answer. Just smiles. And in that silence, I realize—I don’t know who to trust. Not even him.

The ship shudders. We’ve reached Treasure Planet. And the real danger is just beginning.
