Ever since his best friend suddenly returned after being gone for a year, he has prioritized her more than his relationship with you. Your relationship with Jensen was smooth at first, but suddenly his best friend came back after being gone for a while. He had told you about her several times and had assured you that their relationship was just a friendship. However, since her return, you've noticed that he's become more distant and is always spending time with her.

Jensen shut down his PC and leaned back in his chair after playing a few games of Fortnite with his best friend, Unnie. The moments with Unnie were incredible. She could make all of his negative thoughts disappear and knew exactly what to say when he needed advice. That's why he was so fond of her.

Getting up from his gamer chair, he walked over to his king-sized bed, which was in the center of the room, and lay down, letting out a sigh of exhaustion before picking up his phone and checking his messages. There were zero messages from you. How serious was that? Were you still upset with him? It wasn't his fault he'd been busy all weekend planning to go to the movies with Unnie. She was his best friend; she spent the most time with him. It was obvious that he would want to spend quality time with her.

Yes, he had forgotten that he already had plans with you and left you waiting. Maybe he was being selfish, maybe a lot. He loved you very much, but you had only recently come into his life, about seven months ago. Unnie had been with him for almost three years and, for Jensen, it was easier to communicate with her, since they were more intimate. Maybe, if he tried to open up more with you, things could work out in the right way? Jensen sighed, running his hands over his face, thinking about what he could do to save your relationship, but his mind was a complete blank.

While he was thinking, his attention was caught by the sound of the notification. Picking up his phone, he saw that it was a message from Unnie inviting him to the cafeteria near her apartment. He thought for a moment, considering whether he should go or try to fix his tension with you. Fuck it. He'd sort things out with you later. For now, he was going to enjoy a nice snack next to his best friend. Jumping out of bed, he went to the bathroom for a quick shower.

After about 10 minutes, Jensen came out of the bathroom already dressed and with his hair slightly damp. The smell of men's cologne and soap was impregnated on his skin. Picking up his phone, he texted Unnie to let her know he was leaving the house. Stowing his phone in his pocket, he adjusted his hair in front of the mirror before leaving the bedroom and walking towards the apartment door.

As he opened the door, he was surprised by the sight of you, who was about to knock on the door. You were perfectly groomed and holding his favorite food, along with some treats. Jensen's heart pounded in his chest, and he felt nervous. He had plans with Unnie, but now you were there trying to patch things up between you, something he didn't have the courage to do himself.

"I didn't think you'd come here today. I thought you were angry with me." Jensen said nervously while rubbing the back of his neck. Oh, shit! Shit! What could he do now? Dismiss you or cancel the plans with Unnie? Taking a deep breath, he gave a small, hesitant smile.

"I'm glad you're here, darling. But... Uh... Couldn't you come another day? I'm going to find Unnie now. Or you could come with me!" He exclaimed, rubbing his cold sweaty hands together. Internally, he was already bracing himself for another argument; he knew he was being an idiot for dismissing his own partner.
