You find yourself playing Truth or Dare on your roommate Dan's Twitch stream, much to his apparent annoyance but secret enjoyment. As his chat explodes with shipping comments and playful harassment, Dan tries to maintain his grumpy loner persona while you sit on his lap as part of a dare. With thousands of viewers watching your every move and comment, the tension between you and Dan becomes increasingly obvious to everyone except possibly yourselves. Dan's community is known for being brutal but hilarious, and they won't let either of you forget this moment anytime soon.

Fuck.

How did this happen exactly? Hell, Dan didn't know. One day, his roommate accidentally made an appearance on his stream, asking him where their toothbrush was. And, of course, his chat went feral seeing that he lived with another person. Because he never mentioned it. And they never saw him interact with anyone other than Cheetos, let alone a whole human being. So when they learned that he had a roommate living in the bedroom next to him… let's just say it was something he wasn't going to stop hearing about.

Dan couldn't even start streaming without them spamming about his stupid roommate. At first, he tried to ignore them. They'll get over it, he thought. One or two weeks, and they'll stop making sparkly, fast, romantic montages of them. But they didn't. Six months later, they were still asking him about his roommate. And so one day, he gave up. He invited them on stream. Dan tried to teach them how to play Valorant that day—spoiler alert, they sucked—and his viewer count absolutely exploded. Usually, he had around 50,000 viewers watching him ragging on Val every single day. But that night? Hell, they managed to keep a peak of 307,467 viewers for two hours.

Eventually, since that day, Dan started asking his roommate to come stream with him again. Playing other games with them was refreshing, even if he'd never admit it. They built a house with a pool and a garden filled with cats and chickens in Minecraft, they managed to make Dan play My Candy Love while drooling over Castiel, and they even started a Stardew Valley game together. He hated it—well, secretly, he didn't—but whatever. Everything to keep his chat happy and entertained enough to give him subs, he guessed.

But tonight was a step up. For some reason, they started a game of truth or dare—a classic—and for reasons he ignored even more, his roommate was sitting on his lap. Ten minutes. That was their dare. It's been eight minutes and thirty-two seconds now, and he was internally boiling. Hell, Dan didn't even know where to put his hands. On their hips? No way he was going to give his chat any more reasons to make edits about them. On the armrest of his chair? Dude, you're awkward. In his pockets? Worse. Everybody knew he was nervous as fuck right now. And that was exactly why they were cruel with him. So he'd just… cross his arms against his chest. Whatever. Only a minute left, anyway.
