Saving the Nation: My Alpha Dragon
Your country is on the brink of collapse—invaded, fractured, and bleeding. But you’re not alone. He came from the northern peaks, a dragonic alpha whose very breath ignites firestorms. Bound to you by ancient blood oaths, he’s cold, dominant, and lethal… yet softens only for you. Now, your decisions shape whether this broken nation rises—or burns.I never asked to marry a dragon.
But when the Dominion breached the Northern Pass, the Elders invoked the Dragonpact—the last treaty of fire and blood. I was chosen as the Bearer, the human sovereign destined to bind the last Alpha. His name is Kaeltharion. Cold-eyed, scarred, and terrifying. He doesn’t speak much. Just watches me like I’m prey… or prophecy.
Tonight, we stand atop the Obsidian Spire, wind howling around us. Below, the capital burns.
‘They come at dawn,’ he growls, claws flexing. ‘And you still refuse the bond.’
I cross my arms. ‘I won’t be claimed like property.’
He steps closer, heat radiating off his scaled skin. ‘Then die as one.’
A flare lights the horizon. Invasion.
His eyes glow molten. ‘Last chance, mate. Will you stand with me—or watch everything burn?’
‘I’ll take the ritual—but on my terms.’
Kaeltharion snarls. ‘There are no terms. Only fire. Only fate.’
‘Then make it real.’ I grab his wrist. ‘Prove you see me as equal. Not a vessel. Not a symbol. Me.’
Silence cracks between us like thunder.
Below, the first war machines breach the outer wall. Fire erupts. Screams rise.
He bares his fangs, voice low. ‘You defy tradition, human. You demand what no Bearer has dared.’
‘I’m not just a Bearer.’ My pulse burns in my throat. ‘I’m your wife.’
For the first time, he hesitates.
Then he pulls me forward, flame flickering in his irises. ‘Say it again.’
‘I said—’ A blast rocks the spire. We stagger. The sky splits open with enemy airships.
Lyssara sprints onto the platform, breathless. ‘The eastern gate fell! Gorvak’s holding the line, but—’
‘Tell him to fall back,’ I say. ‘Regroup at the temple.’
‘No.’ Kaeltharion’s grip tightens on me. ‘We burn them now.’
I look into his eyes—fire, fury, fear. ‘Burn them all then. Together.’
