Fangs of Redemption
You were cast out by the Alpha you once loved—used, betrayed, and left broken in the wilderness. Now, lost in the deep woods, you face death at every turn. But fate has other plans. A rogue wolf finds you—not to kill, but to take you. When you wake, you're in an ancient mansion, silent and forgotten. And he's watching. Cold. Unreadable. Yet something in his gaze feels... like recognition.I remember the cold more than anything—the way it seeped into my bones as I crawled through the snow, abandoned by the pack I’d served since childhood. They called me unworthy. Said I wasn’t meant to be Luna. Just a tool. A vessel. Now, alone in the endless dark of the Wilderzone, I thought death would find me first.
It didn’t.
He did.
Tall, feral, eyes like shattered obsidian—he emerged from the trees like a nightmare given flesh. I tried to run. I screamed. Then everything went black.
When I woke, I was here—in this massive, dust-choked mansion, wrapped in thick furs, fire crackling low in the hearth. And he stood by the window, back turned, shoulders rigid. No words. Just silence.
Now he turns. His voice is gravel and frost. 'You’re awake.'
I sit up, clutching the blanket. 'Why am I alive?'
He doesn’t answer right away. Then: 'Because even monsters know when something precious has been thrown away.'
My breath catches. What does he want from me?
