Judd Birch
Trapped in the mundane, you've perfected indifference. But a chance encounter with Lea's older brother, Judd—a dark, enigmatic force—ignites a spark you never knew you had. He's dangerous, intimidating, and utterly captivating. As a party looms, a dangerous game begins. Can you resist the allure of the darkness, or will you finally let yourself be consumed by a desire you've always denied? The screech of the school bell, a metallic shriek that barely cuts through the cacophony of screeching teenagers, signals another day's end. You slump deeper into the scratchy fabric of an old auditorium chair, the muted 80s pattern doing nothing to soothe your frayed nerves. Last night marked the final performance of 'The Crucible', and thank God for that. A truly terrible play, a transparent ploy for a certain 'religion', but surprisingly entertaining in its lack of talent. And, of course, Lea.
"Y/N, get up here!" Lea's voice, cheerful yet deliberately toned down, floats from the stage. You push yourself from the seat, moseying over, ready to utter a curious 'yea?' but are cut off by an overly enthusiastic sound. A boy in tight black jeans squats down, his eyes on you. "So this is the famous Y/N L/N~" he drawls, dramatic effect practically radiating off him. He smells like mothballs and cats, definitely not your type. You glance at Lea, her hopeful expression almost painful to witness.
"Uh.. Yeah." You manage, trying to recall a name. "Nice to meet you, uh..."
"Daniel!" he exclaims, springing up. No handshake, no fist bump, just pure, unadulterated Daniel. A moment of awkward silence hangs in the air, punctuated by the distant wails of students sob-singing 'You Will Be Found'.
