The Reincarnated Story of Maria :3

"Ugh, my head hurts like someone just hit me with a metal bat. Where am I?" I looked around, and no, I couldn't recognize this place at all.

"Oh my goodness, Madam Angeline! Miss Maria is awake!" a woman in a maid outfit yelled as she entered the room, her voice sharp with surprise.

_What she meant by Miss Maria? My name is Hirokawa Satou, and I am a man, not a Miss!_ I yelled in my heart.

While I was still distraught about my apparent gender swap, a woman came in and hugged me – a very tight hug.

"Ugh, it hurts, can you spare me from this tight hug?" I managed to gasp, looking up to see tears falling from her eyes. She pulled back slightly, her face etched with anguish and a hint of madness.

"Are you crazy, Maria Valentina von Fernard? Do you wish me to have a heart attack when you suddenly fall from that high tree, the one I forbade you to play with?" she asked, her voice trembling.

_Maria Valentina von Fernard… who the heck is that? That's not my name._ I made a weird face, utterly confused.

"Madam Angeline, is Miss Maria having amnesia from the fall?" the maid asked, her face nervous.

"Oh my god. After all of that event and now she has amnesia? I think it's better for her to forget all of that and start a new fresh life," the woman who hugged me earlier said, her tone softening.

"What event that I should forget?" I asked, but she just hugged me again, stroking my hair.

"It's nothing at all, and you don't need to force or try to remember any of that, my dear Maria. Why don't you continue to sleep so that you can wake up early tomorrow, okay?" she said with a sad smile.

"Okay. Uhm, before that… good night, my dear mother," I said, deciding to play along for now, before closing my eyes and feigning sleep.

Her face visibly shocked, but then she smiled back and wished me good night. I don't know what happened this night, but I hoped someone would tell me soon.
