Reincarnated As A Beast Tamer

The smell of mint chocolate chip ice cream was still a faint memory as Ashura's eyes fluttered open. But this wasn't his small studio apartment, nor was it the sterile white of a hospital.

A blinding golden light engulfed him, and when it receded, a strange, scaly sensation tickled his cheek. He blinked, adjusting to the sunlight filtering through unfamiliar leaves, only to find a small, black lizard-like creature nuzzling his hand. Panic flared, a sharp cry escaping his lips, a cry that sounded far too high-pitched, far too feminine.

He scrambled back, tumbling into a cool body of water. Gasping, he clutched at the grassy bank, his mind racing. He looked down at the lizard, which now seemed to be a 'Phantom Dragon' according to a bizarre floating screen. Then, his gaze fell upon his reflection in the water.

Gone was the brunette man from Earth. Staring back was a young woman with pristine white hair and glowing golden eyes. His, or rather, her new reality had just begun.
