AUTHOR'S POV She was tied up on a chair in what could be regarded as the bloody dungeons of some kind. Her eyes moved around herself. There was blood everywhere on the floor and walls. There was one moderate striking above her head, to torture her further. The metallic odor of blood weighed excessive in the air. She gagged for the nth time, however could not bawl her guts out as her belly was already empty, due to the fact of not being fed something for almost two days. She felt each and every part of her physique hurting. Her limbs have been inclined and her clothes had been all dirty. She had stopped resisting in opposition to the chains, that have been maintaining her wrists, as blood had oozed out of the gashes she had unconsciously created, attempting to free her hands. It was all her fault! Tears commenced to fall out of her eyes once again. She sniffed and heard the metal door opening. She raised her vulnerable face, which was protected with her sweat strickened hairs. She peeked through her bangs and observed the DEVIL himself coming in. She felt hate brewing up in her heart. Tears started falling her eyes, when he leisurely strolled toward her, with his hands in his pockets. He had destroyed her life! She clenched her jaw, when he stopped simply a few inches away from her. He bent down and pushed her hairs away from her face gently, to which she jerked her head back, looking away. She did not even wanted to look at him anymore. He was A wolf in sheep's clothing. A candy honey trap! Seeing her behaving like this, an evil smile stretched upon his lips, before he harshly grabbed her jaw and moved her face toward him. "DO NO LOOK AWAY FROM ME, ANGEL!" He hissed nevertheless smiling maniacally and she felt the chills of dread run up her spine once more. Searching in his eyes for the unexistent love, Tears fell down barring her control and he reached his thumb, scooting a tear from her face. He stared at it amused and placed his thumb in his mouth, sucking her tear away. He pulled his thumb out and discovered her staring hatefully at him, so he hummed, "It's salty, but still my favourite!" She felt her blood boiling. She mustered up her courage and spat on his face, before weakly stuttering, "I h-hate you!" He wiped his face off, with a smirk adorning his sinfully gorgeous face and laughed humorlessly. He reached forward and grabbed her hairs, making her yelp out in pain. Pain shot throughout her already vulnerable skull. He leaned down, till their noses touched and whispered, "Did you think it was love?" He laughed looking away and licked his lips up, as his gaze travelled from her eyes, that had been glaring at him hatefully to her lips, that seemed as delicious and captivating as ever. "No, Angel!" He leaned in addition and she ought to sense his warm breath hitting her face. She clenched her eyes closed and thrashed once again, to get out of the chains keeping her down, which proved to be of no use. He leaned in closer and their lips barely touched sending the acquinated tingles down her spine. She hated it! She hated him! She hated how he made her feel! Even after everything, she hated how she could not deny his touch! His gaze was fixed at her plump lips when he whispered, "It is Just a Game!" His lips blanketed her already bruised one's in a harsh kiss, drawing out blood from her lips.
Chapter 2 Chapter 01
~1 Month Ago AUTHOR'S POV The ear piercing voice of an alarm was blasting through the whole room. The alarm had got tired from shouting too much already, but it's owner was not responding to it's calls at all. A white flawless hand with long soft fingers, appeared from under a duvet, indicating that the lump of duvet on the bed beside the table where the alarm clock was shouting, actually had a figure hidden under it. The hand stomped on the table, which made it clear that the figure was frustrated. The poor alarm got caught by the figure and next minute it's dead pieces were laying by the wall on the floor. It was because the cruel hand had grabbed onto it and thrown it harshly onto the wall to shut it down. The dying clock cried at it's fate but it was nothing new. All his colleagues met with the same cruelty everyday, as that monsterous figure under the duvets killed them mercilessly, just to continue it's beauty sleep. Just as the clock took it's last breaths, silence reigned throughout the Lavish bedroom. The hand disappeared under the duvet again and peace too prevailed throughout the small Luxury bedroom kingdom. Just as the walls had started taking a breath of relief, the ringing sound of a cellphone disturbed them again. What will happen now? They all looked at each other in fear. The duvets were suddenly thrown away by the figure under it, as walls in the room cringed closing there eyes in fear. A girl more like a monster with hairs sticking out in all places, covering her face appeared from under the duvet. Her hand was holding onto the cursed phone, which had finally Managed to wake her up from her beauty sleep. Her milky white neck was visible from above her silk nighty. Sleepily, she tapped on the phone, attending the call and placed it on her left ear with her shoulders drooped down. “Hmm...” That was all she could say attending the call, as her mind was still lost in her sweet lala land. “ WHERE ARE YOU, ANA?! ” The Shouting voice of Caroline sounded from the other side of phone, which made her push the phone away from her sensitive ear. “ I am at......home! ” She slurred in reply sleepily like a dead cat. “ WHAT? THE EXAM WILL START IN THIRTY MINUTES! WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT HOME?! ” Caroline shouted again at the stupidity and Laziness of her bestfriend, who always fought a war when getting up in the morning due to the fact that she loved sleeping. She yawned without bothering to place her hand on her mouth and slurred again, “ Yeah! Exa-” Her mouth stopped midway, when the red bulb suddenly lit up in her mind. “ EXAM!” She shouted at the top of her lungs as sleep ran far away from her scared. Throwing the phone away she pushed her hairs back revealing her face that stunned the surroundings for a while. The voice of Hello! Hello! was sounding through the phone but who cared at this point. She had doe like wide honey coloured eyes with a straight soft nose and a perfect set of heart shaped lips. Her features suited perfectly on her milky white silk like skin. She was no doubt beautiful beyond words. She possessed the kind of beauty which makes you get lost in the land of wonderland, but she looked oblivious to it. Hurrying to get up, her leg got tangled with the duvets as they smirked at finally getting their revenge on her. A yelp left her mouth as she fell facefront on the floor with her legs still on the bed and her upper half on the floor, laying in a weird position. Glaring side eyed at the duvets, she started crawling to get her legs out of the bed instead of standing up. Finally her legs fell down from the bed along with the duvets that cursed her and she stood up on her soft feets. Shaking her head, she ran to the door attached to the room, which was definitely a bathroom. . . . . . . . Ten minutes passed in the blink, when the bathroom's door opened and she stepped out ready to go to exam. She was wearing a simple brown soft sweater with a skinny black jeans. Her hairs were now tied up in a ponytail. There dryness indicating that she had not took a shower. Running around, she grabbed her watch from the dressing table and wore it on her wrist, before running to the door of her bedroom. Opening the door, she stepped out in the lounge and ran to the kitchen attached to it. There was no figure in the house except for her, as she lived all alone abroad, away from her family to complete her studies. She appeared from the kitchen again like a tornado with a bread coated with butter in her hand. She placed it in her mouth, holding it with her teeths and ran to the shoe rack to grab her favourite black high boots. Wearing them successfully by jumping around the lounge like a frog, she huffed out and finished the bread in three big bites. She looked at the clock hanged on the wall of the lounge. Still 10 minutes left for the exam to start. Thank God the university was five minutes away from her apartment! Grabbing on to the books from the table, she stopped by one picture on top of it. It was a picture of a woman in her late 30's with a 7 year old girl standing in front of her. They both were looking at the camera smiling as their eyes shined the brightest, like they have never experienced any misery. She smiled sadly at the picture and adressed the woman, “ Wish me luck Mom! It's my final exam today! ” Dragging her finger lovingly across the picture of the smiling woman, her smile almost fell, when she forced herself to smile again. Shaking her head, she ran to the front door but stopped by the wall sized mirror beside the door. Checking herself out from head to toe, she fixed her hairs by pushing them behind her ears. “ You will do well Ana! This is the last exam! You will finally be free after that! ” She boosted herself up and opened the front door stepping out and locking it behind her. She was ANASTASIA ADAMS, a sweet and caring girl who loved to sleep. The mirror showed the reflection of the picture of a woman and child smiling in front of the camera. Everything stood still now in her absence. If only she knew, that she was never going to be free after today, then she would have stayed longer, admiring herself or would have possibly ran away but TIME was cruel. It never informs you about the disaster FATE was going to bring.
Chapter 3 Chapter 02
AUTHOR'S POV The bell rang indicating that the time for the exam was over. Ana raised her head to find out where professor was. She found her by the front row and smirked. Leaning down on her paper, Ana stuck her tongue out and started writing in a speed that seemed inhumane. All the students left after submitting their papers, but Ana still sat there racing with the pen that she held in her hand. The invigilator professor approached her and stood by her head, smiling. Professor knew Ana always did this. She used to look around all the time the paper was conducted and started writing when there were only ten minutes left submitting the paper, like a bulb had lit up in her mind at the last moment. Lost in throwing the words on the blank paper, Ana didn't notice when the professor had came and stood by her. She noticed her when someone snatched the paper away. Ana unconsciosuly screamed out and lunged to the paper, when she came face to face with the fake glaring professor. Turning her face to innocent by sticking her lips out, Ana smiled sheepishly at the professor who raised her eyes at Ana. “ Just five more minutes, Professor! ” She pleaded still keeping her face innocent, trying to melt the Professor's heart like she tried in every Exam. All Professors were aware of her tactics and they all liked her, which she always used to her advantage. Mrs William who was the Professor, smiled and patted Ana's cheeks, raising hope in her heart. “ No! ” She deadpanned and Ana's smile fell turning into an upset pout. The professor chuckled out at her favourite student's weird behaviour and walked away, knowing if she stayed Ana would use all her weapons on her, including Crocodile tears as the ultimate destructive weapon Ana was an intelligent and examplary student of their batch, but she still was childish. Mrs William knew that Ana had completed her paper long ago and was filling the blank pages with Songs now, like she had done in every paper. She shooked her head smiling and stepped out of the classroom after collecting all paper. Ana pushed her hairs back and flaunted, “ Huh! Just one song was left! ” She scoffed and stood up getting proud at her performance in the paper. She stood up as a smile tugged at the corner of her lips. With sudden excitement rushing through her body, she did a victory dance but stopped midway to see if someone was watching her. Finding no one around, she raised her hand in the air and jumped around all the class screaming, “ Yay! ” Getting tired, she took deep breaths and decided to find her two bestfriends Jordan and Caroline. She really wanted to see them to share her happiness. She was finally free today. Her feets were not staying on the ground as she felt like dancing around the world, until her feets worn out, but she felt it again, the same feeling like someone was watching her. She had been feeling like this for a few days now but had ignored it, thinking that it was only her imagination. Shaking her head, she rushed out to the canteen where she knew her two crackheads would be right now. Just as she stepped inside the canteen, she felt the same again. The feeling that someone was watching her keenly. She shooked her head for the nth time and looked around to find her friends. There those two were! Eating like pigs with food compiled up in front of them. Smiling, she ran to them fron behind and hit them on their heads with both of her hands, making them chock out on their food. “ ANA! ” Caroline screamed as she chocked on her food. Students turned to look at the commotion for a second, but then after finding the cause they all looked away as it was their everyday routine to make noises. They were the official weirdos of the university with the title of genius attached to them as well, which made them 'GENIUS WEIRDOS' When Ana got to know that name, she liked it so much that she named the group of three of them as 'GENIUS WEIRDOS' turning the unofficial name to an official one, setting fire to hearts of jealous one's. Ana smiled excitedly and rushed to sit down at the empty chair, grabbing the corn snack from the table and tearing it open. Caroline and Jordan smiled at her excitement. They knew the real reason behind her happiness. It was not graduation. It was- “ Finally Free! ” She blurted out tossing a corn snack in her mouth, with a big smile on her face with her eyes wide staring at them. Jordan smiled seeing her like this, accompanied by Caroline who kept munching on the burger. “ Where should we go after Graduation, Ana? ” Caroline question licking the ketchup off her finger and her mouth full of burger. The illmannerism of her crackheads. Ana rolled her eyes and placed her hand under Caroline's chin, shutting her mouth close. “ First you need to finish it off dear! ” Ana teased Caroline in a sweet motherly tone, to which Caroline rewarded her with her famous failed glare. Jordan chuckled out, shaking his head and sipped on his soft drink. Suddenly, Ana felt that way again. She looked around herself consciously, to see if she had gotten herself a personal stalker, but no one was looking at them. She frowned and turned her head back confusedly. Caroline gulped the bite down and glanced at Jordan knowingly. Ana had told them about that feeling where she felt like someone was always watching her, but they were sure it was just her imagination. Jordan sighed and decided to divert Ana's mind. “ So how are you finally feeling, Ana? ” He knew this will get her excited again. Ana smiled from ear to ear and started, “ After so many years Jordan-” Shs pushed her hairs back, as she tried to hold her emotions off. Caroline and Jordan's eyes softened knowing how she must be feeling. Caroline placed her hand on Ana's hand that was on the table to assure her that they will be always there for her. Ana shooked her head smiling and added, “ After so many years, I feel like I am not caged! I feel like I have a chance to run away and start a new life away from my family! That.... I can take care of myself now! ” Her voice moistened due to the tears that threatened to fall, thinking about the life she had spent. Caroline rubbed her hand slightly as Jordan smiled reassuringly at her. “ We will always be there for you, Ana! ” Jordan vocalized the assurance Caroline was providing her with the touch. There was a promise hidden in his words. “ I know! ” Ana smiled back at them and held Caroline's hand. “ I need to go away before they come for me! You two know that! I don't want to go back home! ” She stated weakly, reminiscising about the plan she had made even before coming here. Caroline and Jordan smiled at her to assure her that they will stand by her, no matter whatever it was. She was grateful that she found them! They have been with her from as long as she remembered. . . . . . . . Ana was walking on the footpath on the way to her home. She had excused herself earlier from both her friends, telling them she wanted some alone time to digest her own happiness. She raised her head and looked up at the sky which was coloured a dark orange, purple and pink right now as the sun was setting. This was all so beautiful. A group of birds flew above her head and she smiled. She wished to fly like those birds one day, careless about the world catching upto her. She looked down smiling and noticed that she had already reached her building. She should pack everything in advance. Making plans in her head, she was oblivious of the fate which had already planned everything out for her. . . . . Unlocking the door of her apartment, she had a weird gut feeling. She shooked her head and stepped inside avoiding her sixth sense. Just as she turned around, a gasp of surprise left her mouth seeing a figure sitting on the sofa and two bodyguards standing behind him. She knew him! She knew him too well. This can't be happening right now. Her plan might have failed without even starting. “ What are you d-doing here, Jackson?! ” She stammered out, wanting to know his reason of being here. She wanted to step forward but she couldn't. He stood up from his place and marched to her with serious expressions, that made her heart beat faster. “ Your father sent me.......to take you back home! ” With his stone face he dropped the bomb on her, killing every dream of her's. No! She stumbled back which didn't go unnoticed by him. It was all over! Life was over before it even started!
Chapter 4 Chapter 03
AUTHOR'S POV He was walking towards the dining room where the people he had called for lunch, were waiting for him. In the corridor, he passed by the mirror which was hanged on the wall that reflected his face perfectly. He was a perfection with a beauty of a Greek God consisting of Plump cherry lips, a straight pointed nose and a set of wide eyes. His eyes...That was the most mesmerizing thing about him...His eyes were dark chocolate brown with so much coldness in them that makes a person shiver with just one look. Walking gracefully with aura of power and a certain coldness radiating off him, he stepped inside the dining room as all the scared faces came into view. They all stood up in the respect or more like fear for the king that ruled over here ruthlessly; the one who was capable of killing them in the most ruthless way possible. The one who liked to make others suffer, making them beg for death before killing them. All they had on their faces, was fear as they knew that their boss had betrayed and awakened the BEAST . That's why they were all here today. Satisfied with the fear on their faces, the beast stepped forward to take his place at the head of the table. His right hand man- THE HELLION slided the chair back for him and he took his seat maginificiently. Sweat was dripping down from the faces of everyone present in the room. They kept standing as they knew sitting without his permission will only bring them destruction. “ Sit down! ” The calm-purring voice boomed and echoed in the dining room. They had recieved their order so they didn't waste any time in taking their position. Smirking, Beast picked up the glass of wine from the table and stared calmly at all of those that were visibly shivering. He loved it! He loved seeing the fear in their eyes; the fear that paralyzes them, that makes them want to take their own life before Beast gets to them. This gave him immense pleasure; the power he had over them. Taking his arrival as a cue, the servants started bringing the dish out and serving all of the people on the table. It was only one dish. A pie. Confusedly everyone sneaked a glance at the beast, careful enough to not get caught. They were confused as to why he was feeding them. Was he going to posion them? That was highly unlikely as the beast liked to kill people in the most gruesome way; granting easy death was not an option for him. They would have been ready to eat this dish even if this was posion, but they knew that was not the case here. “ What is it B-beast? One of them took courage and managed to stutter out their confusion. Sensing their confusion, beast showcased his signature evil smirk, “ I heard your boss liked Pie ” Musing to them, he took sip of the blood red wine from his glass. Gulping down, they all focused on how he used 'liked'. Their boss was possibly dead by now. No one had betrayed Beast and left alive to tell the tale. “ Eat it ” He commanded in his usual collective and calm voice as chills ran up the spines of everyone present in the room except for The Hellion. Getting their order, they all started eating the pie as the Beast hummed to himself. His eyes were cold fixed on all of them. He was enjoying it too much. The pie tasted better than they had ever eaten. It tasted different and they couldn't stop eating it. That was until- A shriek lit up the room that came from one of the person eating the pie. Something had crunched over his teeth eating the pie and when he had pulled it out of his mouth to inspect, his blood had froze in his vein. It was a teeth...A human teeth... Throwing it away on the table he looked at Beast who's laugh boomed in the room at his scared face. All of them stopped eating as they stared at the teeth horrified with their eyes almost bulging out of their sockets. “ How can you throw it away like this? ” Beast tutted amused by their reaction still laughing. “ Do you not know how to respect your boss? I specially made this pie from his dead body! ” Beast dramatically sighed out and took another sip from his drink. It was so amusing. Beast reminiscised about the good memories of the last moment of their boss. He had ripped out all of his nails... Then chopped off all his fingers; little by little... Then came the exciting part, as he pulled his tongue out and severed it to shut him up...He was making too much noise screaming, which annoyed him... He wanted to play with him so much more, but his toy was about to pass out... So he stabbed the knife in his stomach and ripped all his guts out.... First his intestines and then his stomache... His trance of exciting memories broke, when all of them doubled over to bawl their guts out. They had never imagined to be fed something like this. Shaking his head, the beast stood up from his chair and strolled towards the door. No one can ever betray him and live to tell the tale...He smirked and stepped outside as the sound of numerous gunshots was heard behind him. Humming he kept walking, he had something even more important than killing soms rats personally. The hellion followed him and they both stopped in a hall as BEAST stood facing the window with a smirk constantly plastered over his angelic face. He was the perfect example of an angel face with a demon heart... “ Where is she now? ” Beast inquired with his back still facing the Hellion. “ She is on her way home...William had called her back to save her from you! ” The hellion chuckled out at the stupidity of William Adams. He had personally bought his daughter to hell. “ Ohhh! ” The beast showed his excitement at thought of getting his new toy soon. “ Are you going to kill her when she arrives? ” The Hellion questioned still not sure about what was going on in the Beast's mind. Beast Hummed and turned around to face The Hellion squinting his eyes. “ Her time will come....” Beast trailed off looking in the space. “ Until then, I will break her into tiny pieces! ” He deadpanned as chills ran up The Hellion's spine at the thought of what was going to happen to the girl. Easy death won't be an option for her. The hate in Beast's eyes made his eyes darkened, making them turn black just like a Beast.
Chapter 5 Chapter 04
AUTHOR'S POV Anastasia was staring outside the window of her father's private jet. The fluffy clouds they were floating on, were enchanting her and diverting her mind from reality. She had made such long plans. Plans that included, her escape from the clutches of her father... Plans that included, her starting over her life anew... Plans that included, her forgetting about her past, Her so-called family, that she hated with all her heart... Plans that included, that she will never see her father again... But life and Fate! They were cruel. When you make plans, Fate laughs on you, because Fate had already made a plan, that you have to follow at any cost. When the fight is between a Person and Fate, the person is more likely to lose in all situations. Fate is something, you must accept! But for Ana, if her fate was to be caged by her own father, then she was going to fight till the end, but never give up. If there was no way out of it, she was going to make one, but she was never going to give up. She was never going to give in to her father... A man, she hated and feared at the same time... A man, she couldn't stand the sight off and the feelings seemed to be mutual... Sighing to get rid of all the heavy thoughts, she relaxed back in the comfortable seat and unconsciously her eyes met Jackson's eyes, who had been observing her from the moment he had forcefully took her from her apartment. They were friends once...They cared about each other once...She used to call him, her escape...They had played together in the childhood and now? She could not even recognize him. She couldn't believe, that he was the same child she had always relied on; in her childhood. The child, who couldn't bear seeing her hurt and crying...But who was he now? She wondered, as she stared at his blank face. Ana had pleaded, begged and even struggled with all her might against him, to not take her back to that hell...but the only thing she heard in return was his robotic reply, that he was here to take her back on her father's order. That's all he was and that's all he was ever going be now...A robot, who was programmed by her father...A robot, who had no feelings, emotions, memories or sentiments...A robot, who only followed orders...That's how her father liked people to be. Getting uncomfortable at her own pathetic state, she turned her face to look outside again. Why was life like this? That was the only unanswered question for Ana. For the world, she was the eldest daughter of William Adams, the daughter he had with his first Wife; the wife who he had truly loved according to people. A man who had married her second wife, just to give a mother to Ana. He was the so-called billionaire of their country. A man, who supposedly lived a white collar life...A man, who's record was so clean, that even people wondered, if he was a God walking among them. Ana had always laughed at those idiots, who were too easy to fool. They were so stupid, that they really believed everything, they wanted to believe. If only people knew what he was really like, then they would have called him Satan instead of a God. “ We will be reaching there in 30 minutes! ” Jackson announced in the same robotic tune, that he used. Ana's heart trembled at the thought of seeing her father again. Why did he even call her back? She didn't ask about this to Jackson, as she was too busy in thinking of ways to escape. “ Why did he call me back so suddenly? My result is not out yet! ” Ana questioned in a neutral tone, trying to match his coldness. The friend she was trying to find in him earlier due to the sudden panic, was not him...She knew it and she was not going to act pathetic anymore. She was supposed to be acting like the so-called pampered princess she was now or she would have to face consequences, that were not too favourable at all. “ An enemy had started to destroy our territory...He had trespassed many times and killed many of our people quite...brutally! Your father called you back for better protection ” Jackson infromed in the same robotic tone. An enemy, he said? How weird! Ana pondered over the same thing. Who had the guts to go against the So-called God, William Adams? “ Who has the guts to go against the so-called God? ” Ana sneered at Jackson, amused that someone was going against her father. Jackson squinted his eyes at her and showed a human response for the first time in a while, making Ana sure, that she had managed to provoke him, but his expression's turned back to neutral in a second. “ Beast! ” Jackson deadpanned, getting irritated by all her questions already. “ Beast? Who is he? ” Ana inquired, interested in the topic now. She really wanted to know who had managed to scare his father enough, that he had called her back. “ No one knows! ” Jackson shrugged his shoulders, still keeping a straight face. “ What do you mean by... no one knows? ” Frowning, Ana looked in Jackson's eyes. “ No one has ever seen him and no one knows him. Those who have seen him are either his loyal people or they are six feet underground...” A shiver ran up Jackson's spine, remembering about the mutilated bodies he had seen a few days ago. The bodies of their people, killed by Beast. He had witnessed all kinds of brutality in his short life span, but not that kind of ruthlessness in his whole life. “ Interesting...” Ana whispered to herself, as she thought about the person who had risen against her father. “ I wonder, if I am ever going to see him! ” Ana mused to herself, unconsiosuly blurting out in a loud voice. Jackson came back from his memory lane and glared at Ana with a serious look, scaring her. Why did he look angry all of a sudden? Unfastening his seatbelt, he got up from the seat and leaned over her seat, placing his hands on the armrests beside her, as she pressed back in the seat; gulping. He was really scaring her now. “ I have a hunch that he will come for you soon, Anastasia and the day he does...He is never going to leave you alone! ” He whispered, staring in her eyes with a serious look. It seemed like, he knew something. Ana gulped, as she stared back at him. This was after a long time, that he had called her by her full name. He leaned in closer, until he was just a few inches away, “ Just so you know...” He trailed off as his eyes travelled from her eyes to her lips gulping, as he forced himself to look back in her eyes. “ He is far more worse than your father! ”
Chapter 6 Chapter 05
AUTHOR'S POV After scaring the hell out of her and leaving her suspiscious about his real motives, Jackson went back to his seat and buckled up for the landing. He went back to his usual robotic self easily, like nothing happened at all. His words ' He is far more worse than your father ' were still echoing in her mind, again and again. It was the first time in her life, that Jackson had acted like this with her. The flash of emotions in his eyes for a mere second, were making her feel anxious. She had been sitting in front of him, staring outside; trying to ignore him as much as possible. There was something bugging her mind...Like the gut feeling she felt, when she opened her apartment's door. Something was telling her, that something huge was coming up her way. It was not like her life was any good, but she had a feeling that her life was about to take a turn for the worst. The wheels of the private jet, touched the ground of her home country...A place she loved and dreaded at the same time. It was so funny to her...How she was afraid of everything and everyone she loved or hated. Just as the plane stopped moving, Jackson got up from his seat, unbuckling his seatbelt and stood at the side, waiting for her to do the same. Tilting her head, she gave him a last look; an observing one. What was it that he had wanted to tell her, in that code words of his? She had known Jackson enough to know, that he had never said anything without having a meaning behind it. But like always, his face didn't betray any of his emotions; as he stood there with his hands folded behind him. Giving up on her futile attempts, she stood up raising her head with confidence. She knew, she was defeated the moment she stepped on this plane. She was going to be caged forever in a world and a place she hated, but she still had something left in her. That was her will. The will to never give up and bow down to anyone, not letting them bring her down; even if he was her own father. Her father had unconsciously ruined her plan of escape from the hell, but she was going to find another way. Even if it meant agreeing to everything her father wants from her, she will do it...She will do it, until she finds a way out of his claws. Determined to keep herself strong this time and not crumble down to the ground, she moved past Jackson and started going to the exit. With her first step down the stairs of the jet, she was met with the familiar sight. Two black Rangerovers and one black Audi with tinted windows, was waiting for her. Moving down with confidence and hiding her real self with the same facade she had learned to cast over her, she moved to the Audi in the center. All the guards standing beside the car, bowed their heads down in respect or more like fear of her father. As she sat down in the car, Jackson followed her shortly and sat down on her other side; just to make sure she doesn't attempt something funny like she had done numerous times in the past, only to be met with grave consequences. The cars took a turn and started moving to their destination. Gulping down her fear and nervousness with the saliva, she looked outside the window. Everything still looked the same...The only one who had changed was her. . . . . . . The cars slowed as they approached a huge gate made of gold bars, which opened automaticaly. Ana raised her head shaking her thoughts and looked up at the mansion in front of her. It was a huge castle like mansions. They were driving smoothly through a long driveway around a fountain, which stood proudly in the middle. The whole place was surrounded with people, wearing black suits. They were guards, the prying eyes. Nostalgic...was all she felt being here. “ Home ” Whispering to herself in a trance, Ana missed the side look Jackson gave her, after hearing what she said. She was lost in her own world... The world in her mind... The world of memories, which was cruel... As the cars stopped, someone hurriedly opened her side of door and she stepped out in a trance. She felt like, she was floating on air. Unconsiously, her eyes went to yard beside the pool, over which there was a huge balcony. Her breath hitched standing frozen on her place. Everyone's heads were bowed low in her respect and they failed to notice the expressions that crossed her face in a flash except for Jackson who saw everything; he knew everything. Her eyes were refusing to move from that particular place, as an image flashed in front of her eyes. In that second, she saw the flash of memories again. It was raining heavily and a body was laying on the ground at the exact place, with blood covering the whole space; gushing out from the body, as rain poured hard, washing everything away... The blood The truth The emotions Everything... It was hard to breath again and her hand instinctively went to her throat to claw away the hands, that were holding her breath, but there was nothing. Someone placed a hand on her shoulder and she jumped up from her place, breathing heavily. She looked around herself. There was nothing there. The day was clear so was the ground and everything around her. No one was holding her throat either, but the sensation was still there...The sensation, she had felt for years and she was probably going to feel it for the rest of her life. “ Everyone is watching! ” Jackson leaned a little towards her and stated in a low voice, conscious of not letting anyone hear it. Gulping to pull herself together, Ana turned towards Jackson, who was still looking at her. Her face was pale, indicating that she was not feeling well, but he ignored it. Jackson's eyes travelled to her hands, that were slightly shaking. Noticing his stare at her hands, she clenched them together and started moving away from him. Something was urging her to look back at that specific spot again but she resisted that urge. It was not going to do her any good. She didn't wanted to go down the memory lane at all...It was not good there. As Ana stepped inside the house in a rush ignoring everyone who showed her their fake respect, she met with no one to welcome her to her so-called home. A bitter smirk made it's way up her face and she stood at the entrance, looking around for a second. Everything was still same here...The golden magnificient chandeliers hanging by the ceiling...The red carpets covering the stairs, that went up on both way, leading to the upper floor...The luxurious paintings hanged on the walls...Everything seemed luxurious and perfect as always...Just like it should be in the house of a Billionaire. “ You should go to your room and rest for a while! You will have to join your family for a dinner shortly...” Jackson stated from behind her, making her nod to herself. Taking steps towards the stairs which were going to lead her to the upper floor where her room was, she tried her hardest to not think of anything at all. Being here, the only thing she was going to do, was to avoid herself...Avoid any contact with her inner self... “ Sir! Boss has called you to the headquarters immediately! ” Ana stopped in her track, when someone adressed Jackson behind her in a hurried and huffing voice. Turning around, she saw a guard standing in front of Jackson, with his face going red. Jackson gave Ana a side look, “ What happened? ” The guard gulped, as Jackson inquired from him. Ana frowned at his condition. It looked like, he had seen a ghost. The guard glanced at Ana and bowed his head a little. “ Beast trespassed our headquarters and kil-killed Jacob! ” Shaking slightly, the guard informed Jackson whose eyes went wide along with Ana. Jacob? Was not he the son of her father's partner Arnold? Beast killed him? Ana frowned with wide eyes. The guard stole an uncomfortable glance at Ana again, which made her frown deepened. Jackson noticed this too, so he glared at the guard. “ What else? ” Jackson knew this was not all. Something else had happened for William to call him like this. It was not like William Adams would have cared for the death of his Partner's son. The guard stole another glance in Ana's direction, who was watching everything with burning curosity, but his constant glances were creeping her out. “ Beast l-left a note that made Boss furious...” The guard trailed off and Jackson impatiently stepped closer to the guard, imtimidating him with his scary expressions. “ What did the note said? ” Despite his annoyance, Jackson's voice was still calm and collectice. He was treading on thin ice right now and Ana could see right through him. Something was wrong here...Her mind was telling her that something was extremely wrong. Clenching her hands in her fist, she anticipated the guard's next words. “ The note st-stated ' I am coming to get your most precious possession soon, William Adams ' ” Stuttering, the guard repeated the same words, he had first read on the note, that he found by Jacob's mutilated body. He was killed in a way, which had shooked him up. All his fingers were severed and placed smootly beside his fingerless hands in a way they would have naturally connected to his hands... His eyes were gone from his eye sockets and they couldn't find them... His head was bashed several times, to the point; he was almost unrecognizable... A shiver ran up the guard's spine, reminiscising the horrible sight, that he was never going to forget. Stepping away from the guard, Jackson turned his head to stare at Ana, who still looked confused. “ What? ” Shrugging her shoulders, Ana asked Jackson, finding him looking at her, with the serious look in his eyes. Why was he looking at her? “ It's you! ” Jackson muttered to himself, which didn't go unheard by Ana, who was standing just at a little distance from him. The guard knowingly bowed his head down. “ What's me? ” Ana pointed a finger to herself confusedly, getting uncomfortable under Jackson's piercing eyes. Sighing, Jackson strolled towards her, stopping just a few inches away; staring directly in her eyes. “ William Adams's most precious possession is... ” Jackson stopped midway to observe Ana's confused expressions. She looked too oblivious standing there. He wondered if he should tell her or not. “ ...His eldest daughter Anastasia Adams! ” He completed the sentence and looked down, missing the look of disbelief and shock on Ana's face.
Chapter 7 Chapter 06
AUTHOR'S POV The water was pouring down on Ana's body from the shower on top of her head. She stood still under the shower, lost in her thoughts, as hot water traced the outlines of her naked body and disappeared down the drain. Steam had blurred all mirrors of the bathroom and she stood there, oblivious to everything. Her mind repeated what happened today. What happened in the plane was weird, but what happened when she arrived here, was confusing... Who was this beast? What did he wanted from her? But then according to the guard, the note read, that he was going after William Adams's most precious possession and whatever the world thought, she knew, she was not important to her father. He was just putting up a facade in front of people. No one was able to look past the facade of her father and it was really funny and at the same time stupid for her. Sighing, she turned off the shower and stepped aside to look in the mirror, which was covered with fog. Raising her hand, she wiped the fog from the tip of her fingers and her reflection became clear. Gazing into her eyes, a smirk came up on her face. Shaking her head, she looked down. Her father was not enough and now some crazy Mafia killer was after her. What an irony! “ My life is so funny...” Chuckling out to her reflection, she sighed, as she felt her heart getting heavier. She promised herself, that she won't cry so easily and she was going to stick by it. She had to... Determined, she gave a last look look to herself and stepped out of the bathroom. Attached to her bathroom, was a huge walk-in closet, which was still filled with her things to her surprise. Walking by the cupboards filled with clothes, she stopped by the cupboard l, which held her casual clothes. Pushing it open, she pondered over what to wear. Ana knew, she was doing a mistake. It was dinner time and she knew, that everyone was gathered at the dining room right now and her father hated it, when someone wore casual clothes at the table or throughout the day. They were only allowed to wear casual clothes in night or when no one was watching. Being the rich and sophisticated people they had to pretend to be, she was supposed to be acting like the Mafia turned billionaire princess, she was. Then she remembered how she loved receiving hate from her father. Smirking, she grabbed a simple grey sweater with a black pant. She could imagine the infuriated face of her father right now and it was hell pleasing. Her father could chop off one or two fingers of her for this, but who cared. Anyway, he would have really chopped off her fingers, if he didn't needed to marry her off to some other Mafia clan, to secure alliances. Chuckling, she shaked her head. The most he could do, was hit her or lock her up anyway, but it would be worth infuriating him. She hoped, he would consider it a welcome back gift from her. Well! It didn't make sense, but it was not like anything made sense in her life. Admist all her thoughts, her gaze went to the clock, that was about to struck 8 in the night. Her eyes unconsciously went wide and she hurriedly started wearing her clothes. She was going to be dead meat, if she was late and she might end up with more than chopped off finger of hers. Finally! As she rushed down the stairs, all eyes of the bodyguards followed her non-sophisticated behaviour. Moving past them, she pushed open the dining room's door, where she knew everyone was. Before her eyes went to the table, they went to the clock. She was five minutes late. Shit! Slowly, her eyes trailed the dining table. It was a huge black table, that could accomodate over twenty people at once. Dishes of all kinds were placed neatly at the table, with cultery placed neatly in front of all chairs. Four maids were standing respectfully at all four corners of the room. They were there to serve dishes and they held the position of most trusted servants around here. Gradually, her eyes rose up to the head of the table, where her father was seated, with his piercing eyes staring right through her. Her heart skipped a beat, as she met his gaze, that could make her tremble in a second. There was everything in her eyes. Hurt. Hate. Anger. Longing. Disgust. Hopelessness. Frustration. On the contrary, her father's eyes were void of any emotions, except for the coldness and ruthlessness, that could turn a room cold. Looking away from him, she noticed her step mother Mathilda Adams, sitting on his right side, along with her half sister Rebecca Adams, sitting beside her. In the same line, Jackson was seated after Rebecca. But his left side...It was all empty. No one ever sat on his left side, as that spot was reserved for her...Her and only her. Maybe it was to make her realize, that everyone was on her father's right side and she was completely on the other side, without anyone accompanying her. “ You are late! ” The booming voice of William Adams echoed in the dining room, seeing his daughter, standing in the door like a statue. William Adams was in his 50's, but he didn't looked any older than late 30's, with his well built physique and the lack of wrinkles on his face. Dressed in a black formal suit with his arms supported on the sides of the head chair, he looked like a king; in front of whom everyone looked small and powerless. Gulping down her saliva, Ana stepped inside the dining room and the door closed behind her. Everyone had stopped eating, after they heard William's voice. Everyone was looking down, not daring to look up, except for William who was glaring at his daughter and Ana, who stared back at him with rebellion. “ ...And you as always are wearing casual clothes to infuriate me! ” Shaking his head, William Adams chuckled out. No one had the audacity to stand up against him, except for his own daughter. She always tried her hardest to infuriate him, childishly. Even if she knew the consequences of infuriating him, she still did those things and it had become amusimg to William Adams over the years. “ Father! ” Ana nodded her head with respect, which was lacking in her eyes. Everyone knew, she was mocking her father in her own way. “ As it's your first day home, I will forgive you. ” William shooked his hand in the air, dismissing the matter and everyone waited for Ana to sit down. It was enough provocation for the day, so Ana silently marched forward and sat down at the left side of her father. Taking the cue, a maid came forward and started serving Ana. Maids knew what she ate and what she didn't, so she filled up her plate. William was staring at his daughter and Ana knew it, but she was hellbound on not making eye contact with him now. Her father was far too lenient today and she shouldn't try her luck too much. Turning his head back, William started eating and so did everyone else, leaving Ana to herself for a while. Silence prevailed in the dining room and no sound was made, except for the clinking of cultery, that was faint. It was the kind of silence, that slowly suffocated people and made them desperate for fresh air. “ How was University, Ana? ” Mathilda questioned, interrupting Ana's silent meal. Raising up her head slowly, her eyes met Mathilda, who was already staring at her. Ana knew what she was trying to do, so she sighed out and placed the fork in the plate. “ It was...good! ” Ana answered slowly, nodding her head, assessing her own words in her head. Rebecca too, was looking at Ana along with Jackson, as they all knew what was about to happen now. Rebecca was hiding her smirk by taking a bite and Jackson's face was emotionless just like William, who was drinking wine from his glass. “ Good what, Ana? Have you forgotten your manners? ” Mathilda raised her eyebrows at Ana's lack of respect towards her. Trying hard not to purse her lips or utter something that would get her in trouble, Ana bit her inner cheek under her teeths; drawing out blood. Her nails were digging in the palms of her hands and blood had started to gush out in form of drops. Staring at Mathilda, she stayed neutral. “ Are not you supposed to say 'It was good, Mother'? ” Placing her fork down on the plate, Mathilda joined her hands together and placed her hands on the table, turning the atmosphere grim. “ You are not my mother! ” Unconsciously, Ana hissed out to Mathilda, whose lips curled up in a twisted smirk. Rebecca was enjoying it from the sides and Jackson ignored everything, continuing to eat his dinner. A splash sounded in the air and Ana instinctively closed her eyes. Jackson's hand stopped midway and he slowly raised his head to look up. William Adams had thrown his wine directly on Ana's face, which was covering her front hair and whole face; dripping down on her clothes. Rebecca and Mathilda exchanged content glances, hiding their smirks. It was the beginning of showtime! Ignoring everything, Jackson looked away. It was nothing new to him anyway. William threw the empty glass on the floor, breaking it into pieces, making everyone flinch and got up from his chair, glaring down at Ana, who still had her eyes closed, as she breathed heavily; trying to contain her emotions. “ You have forgotten to respect your mother and you must be taught a lesson! ” Hissing at Ana, William still glared down at her. Taking this chance, Mathilda rose up from her place and grabbed William's arm, gently. “ She just returned, honey...” With fake tears in her eyes, Mathilda held William back; trying to act good. “ Forgive her for me this time! ” As William's eyes softened looking at Mathilda, she pleaded further. William looked at Mathilda for a second and started walking away from the dining room, indicating that she was being forgiven this time, just because of his precious wife. Just as he left the room, Rebecca dropped her spoon sighing and turned to Ana. “ It's going to be fun as you are back now...” Her mocking tone indicated what was about to come her way. Raising her head, Ana sufficed on staring blankly at Rebecca, who was younger than her. After glaring at Ana for a while, Mathilda and Rebecca left the dining room, leaving behind Ana and Jackson, along with the maids. Ana sighed out heavily and looked at the maid, who had stepped forward with tissue box in her hand. Pursing her lips, she grabbed tissues and wiped her face off with them. As the maid stepped back, Jacskson came in Ana's view and she ended up chuckling out. He was still eating! “ Seriously? You still have an apepitite? ” Scoffing at Jackson, Ana folded her arms on her chest. Slowly, Jackson raised his head and looked at Ana with the same empty gaze. “ We can't stop eating even if someone dies...It was just a little show in your case! ” Shrugging his shoulder, he took another bite. “ Ouch! That was quite...Inhumane...” Ana shooked her head and got up from the table, ready to leave. She needed to go somewhere anyways and it was not like, she didn't know that no one cares for her. “ Don't visit, Lucas! ” Ana's feet stopped in her track, hearing Jackson warn her from behind. Frowning, she turned around and found Jackson already staring at her. What did he mean by that? Before she could ask, Jacson wiped his mouth and got up from his seat, marching towards Ana with firm steps. “ Don't go outside...It's not safe! ” Jackson thrusted his hands in his pant's pockets and warned Ana, standing right in front of her. Sighing, Ana pushed her hairs off her face and looked away for a second, before turning back to him, “ Nowhere is safe for me! ” Her voice was low, talking to Jackson. He could almost feel her tiredness and he wanted to stop her, but he kept quite, when she started walking away; leaving him behind.
Chapter 8 Chapter 07
AUTHOR'S POV Sitting at the backseat of her car, she was staring at the one-story house in front of her. Her bodyguard was sitting on the front seat, along with another boduguard, who was sitting in the driver's seat. They have been here for almost five minutes, but she was not saying or doing anything. She was just staring at that house. Lucas was also Ana's and Jackson's childhood friend. He was the son of one of her father's bodyguard, who died protecting him, so his father took him under his wing and trained him for years. He was an assassin and the only thing he hated in this world was his job. After years of doing that dirty job, he made God Knows what deal with her father, that he let him go. Ana still remembered the day he was freed from that hell. His happiness couldn't match anything else in this world. That day, Ana didn't know if she should be happy or sad for him. He was finally free, but the only person who cared about her in that place, was leaving her. He left her behind, without caring what she would do, after him; all alone. Shaking all thoughts from her head, Ana opened her side of door and got down, only to turn around and watch her two bodyguards-his father's best people, get down from the car too. “ You two will stay outside! ” Ordering them, she didn't wait for anything else. She didn't had the will for such debates right now. Anyway, the guards knew she would be safe with Lucas, so they listened to her order. They were still alert though and were looking in all directions, for any sort of sudden danger. Taking steady steps, Ana marched past the garden of Lucas's house, stopping in front of the main door. She raised her hand to knock at the door, but just as her hand touched it, the door swinged open, a little. Surprised, she pulled her hand back and her heart missed a beat. Why was the door open? Her palms started to sweat, as all negative thoughts swamped her mind. She looked behind her, where her bodyguards were but then she shooked her head and stepped inside, slowly pushing the door open. It was dark-pitch dark in the house. Her heart was still beating faster, as she moved around the lounge. Her brain was screaming at her to turn around and run back, but her heart was rejecting every rational thought. Moving forward, her eyes went to the room on first floor. It's lights were turned around. Placing her hand on her heart, she sighed in relief. She was worrying for nothing. Lucas must have forgotten to lock the door and that was all. A smile stretched upon her lips and she went towards the stairs. She was excited to meet him after so long. She had so much to talk to him about. She needed his help to escape too. He was her only hope now. Rushing up the stairs, she stopped when she reached the room. It's door was half closed, so she knocked on it, but no reply came. How foolish! She came in from the main door and was knocking here now. Shaking her head, she pushed the door open and stepped inside. To her surprise, the room was empty. Lines of confusion appeared on her forehead, as she moved forward to check the whole room. There was no one here. Where was he? As she turned around to leave, something sticky touched her shoes and she looked down. With eyes going wide in fear, her blood ran cold. It felt like her heart beat had slowed down. It was blood. Crimson red blood. Gulping her fear, her eyes slowly traced the line of blood and a scream erupted through her mouth, with tears starting to stream down her face. No...No! This was not happening. She covered her mouth with her hand and fell down on her butt. On the other side of the bed, Lucas was laying on the floor, covered in his own blood with his eyes almost bulging out of his eyesockets; indictaing that he was dead. His stomach and chest had holes; which meant he was shot to death. Trying to surpress her sobs by covering her mouth with her hand, she slided towards Lucas's dead body and touched his face gently. A loud cry left her lips, feeling his cold skin. How can he be dead? She didn't wanted to believe it. Both of her hands grabbed his face, as she cried harder at the loss of her friend. “ Who did this to you, Lu-Lucas? ” A cry of pain left her lips and she leaned into his body, hugging him. He can't be gone just like this. Her mind was dizzy. A loud crash from downstairs pulled her out of her trance and her lips quivered in fear again. There was someone else in the house! Her tears stopped falling, as dread took over her body. Maybe the killer was still here or maybe they were the guards. With her heart beating faster and almost beating out of her ribcage, she forcefully detached herself from Lucas's dead body, stumbling away to the door. Stepping outside with her shaky body, she looked around in darkness. “ Wh-Who is it? ” Her voice broke with fear. Not receiving any reply, her hands started to shiver badly. Guards were definitely not in the house or they would have answered her already. It must be- Her eyes went wide and she covered her mouth to stop herself from making any sounds. Killer was still in the house. She must call the guards from outside. Mustering up her courage, she sprinted down the stairs with shaky steps. She needed to get out of here. The escape was just in front of her. She remembered leaving the front door open, but it was closed now. Without taking any look around, due to the fear that overtook her body, she ran to the front door, but a surprised shriek left her mouth, when someone held her from her waist and lifted her up in the air. She should have turned back around when she sensed the danger. Closing her eyes in fear, she knew she was going to die. The strong hands holding her, made it clear to her. Finally, it was the end of her miserable life!
