Chapter 1 Chapter 1 Drugged by her husband

In a luxurious hotel, Lydia hurriedly searched for the room number on her phone. She had long golden hair, dressed in a black dress. Unlike her usual preference for a natural look, she wore light makeup today. Her beautiful and gentle face was adorned with a faint smile of happiness, her heart beating wildly, and her cheeks flushed with excitement. Today was Lydia and her husband Ron's first wedding anniversary, a very important day for Lydia. Because today, she would truly become Ron's wife! Yes, although Lydia had been married to Ron for a year, they hadn't had any intimate contact yet. Ron's attitude towards her had always been lukewarm, which made her feel uneasy. But yesterday, Ron suddenly called and invited her for a date. She believed that everything would be different from today onwards! Standing at the door of room 306, Lydia took a deep breath, tidied her slightly messy hair, and smiled as she raised her hand to knock on the door. The door opened, revealing a familiar and handsome face. Though there was a fleeting expression of impatience and disdain in his eyes, Lydia didn't notice it as she apologized. Ron asked, "Why are you so late?""Sorry, there was traffic on the way!" Lydia replied shyly, her face blushing slightly. In fact, after receiving Ron's call yesterday, she had been so excited that she couldn't sleep all night. She woke up early in the morning, prepared herself, did her makeup, styled her hair, chose the prettiest dress, picked out jewelry to match, and finally, when she was all dressed up, she accidentally ended up being late. Lydia cautiously raised her gaze and didn't see the usual cold expression on his refined face. She felt relieved in her heart and a hint of sweetness as well. "Come in, I've been waiting for you for a long time!" Ron rarely took the initiative to reach out and took Lydia's handbag. Lydia felt warmth in her heart. The room was already prepared for a candlelight dinner. In the dim light, romantic music played, setting the atmosphere. Ron handed her a bouquet of vibrant flowers, and Lydia excitedly took them, feeling a surge of happiness she had never felt before. He was really different now! Ron pulled out a chair for her, and there were already two glasses of wine poured on the table. Amidst the flickering candlelight, he picked up one of the glasses. "Lydia, let's toast to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. You've worked hard in the past year, and I will do my best to compensate you and make you the happiest woman in the world." Lydia's face turned crimson, her long lashes lowered, hiding her shy and expectant eyes. His implications made her heart race like thunder, and she couldn't help but smile. With a slight smile on her lips, Lydia drank the wine. The slight nervousness from before disappeared, leaving only shyness and beautiful anticipation. Today, Ron seemed unusually gentle and considerate, making Lydia feel like she was in a dream, like she was in heaven. She shyly looked at the man sitting across from her, feeling a heart full of happiness. Ron, satisfied, smiled. There was a hint of satisfaction in his eyes, knowing that his plan had succeeded. Even his smile looked genuine. He knew it was time to exit the stage. So Ron apologized and got up, "Lydia, I need to go to the bathroom." Saying that, Ron opened the door to leave the room, while Lydia, puzzled, asked, "Isn't there a bathroom in the room?""Oh, that seems to be broken. I'll go to the public restroom." Lydia didn't think much about it and sat in the chair, waiting for Ron to return. What she didn't know was that Ron had already left the hotel and driven away. As he looked back before leaving, there was calculation and coldness in his eyes, but no regret! As time passed, Ron still hadn't returned, and Lydia became worried. Where did he go to the restroom? Why was it taking so long? Feeling uneasy, Lydia couldn't help but want to go find him. Just as she got up, a sudden dizziness made her sit back in the chair. What's going on? Lydia rubbed her temples. Although she had an average tolerance for alcohol, she shouldn't have been knocked out by just one glass! Most importantly, an unbearable heat surged from her body, making her mouth dry. Shaking her head to clear it, Lydia tried to sober up a bit. She needed to find some water to drink. "Little beauty, where do you think you're going?" The door of the room suddenly pushed open, and a middle-aged man with a big belly walked in, blocking Lydia's path. His eyes scanned Lydia up and down, and he grinned with extreme satisfaction. "Who are you?" The remaining trace of sanity kept Lydia somewhat clear-headed, while her intuition warned her of great danger. "Of course, I'm here to make you comfortable!" The man's disgusting grin was filled with obscenity. Lydia instinctively took two steps back, watching him warily. The intense heat made Lydia feel like tearing off all her clothes, yet she remained cautious of the man in front of her. She was in great discomfort. Where did Ron go? Hurry back! Unbeknownst to Lydia, her face was now flushed with desire, with a hint of watery shimmer in her eyes, making her look pitiful yet adorable. Sweat formed a thin layer on her fair skin, making her irresistibly enticing. The man's eyes gleamed with hunger, and he couldn't contain his desire as he lunged towards Lydia. Panicked and confused, Lydia's head was spinning, her legs weak, rendering her unable to move. She was both anxious and afraid, on the verge of tears. The man drew closer, his fat hands already grabbing Lydia's collar. Rip! The strap snapped. Lydia's fair shoulder was suddenly exposed, radiating a seductive glow under the light, causing the man's eyes to widen in lust. In a mix of shock and anger, Lydia found the courage from somewhere and grabbed the bedside lamp, smashing it towards the man. "Ah... you BIT*H!" The middle-aged man was hit squarely on the forehead, causing it to split open. Blood streamed down, making his face appear even more ferocious. "Ron! Ron! Help me!" Lydia screamed loudly, taking advantage of the man's momentary daze to stumble out of the room, with the man closely following. Lydia ran frantically, darting in all directions. Crash! She collided with someone's arms. The person was tall, estimated to be about six feet three inches, with sharp features carved into a handsome face. His deep-set eyes were cold and indifferent, his thin lips pressed tightly together, exuding an aura of nobility. But his furrowed brow showed clear dissatisfaction towards the woman who had suddenly collided with him. "Help!"

Chapter 2 Chapter 2 One Night Stand 18+

Lydia subconsciously reached out and grabbed the man's sleeve. Her vision began to blur, and she felt like a drowning person grasping onto a floating reed unwilling to let go. Lambert lowered his head and saw a pair of stubborn yet bewildered eyes. The woman's face was flushed suspiciously, her torn strap and her current expression made Lambert quickly understand the situation. She must have been drugged! Seeing Lambert's furrowed brow, the bodyguard standing not far behind him quickly stepped forward, pulling the woman who was still grabbing onto his clothes away. At the same time, he broke out in a cold sweat, realizing he had just failed in his duty. His boss was not someone to be trifled with. Those who offended him usually had only one outcome: death. "Bit*h, stop right there!" The man with a hand covering his head came over, and upon seeing Lambert standing in front of Lydia, he angrily questioned, "Who are you? Mind your own business!" Lambert's expression darkened, and he ordered the bodyguard beside him, "Get rid of him." The bodyguard understood and quickly stepped forward, pressing the middle-aged man down and dragging him into the 306 room he had come out of. Soon, cries of pain could be heard from the room, sending shivers down the spines of those who heard it. While Lambert's bodyguard went to deal with the man, Lydia somehow stumbled back to Lambert's side. The extreme heat made Lydia extremely uncomfortable, as if a scorching sensation emanated from her bones, causing her to long for anything cold. And precisely, Lambert standing in front of her became the best choice. Lydia clung to Lambert's strong shoulders like a snake in heat, her body unbelievably soft, and her delicate face became more charming because of her desire. Lydia's lips parted slightly, as if inviting someone to taste. Her fair skin, exposed to the air, quickly blushed, and most of her clothes were damaged from the previous struggle and actions, revealing her perfectly shaped chest faintly. Lydia held onto Lambert's waist tightly, as if wanting to merge with him. Her high heels had long been discarded, exposing her snow-white and slender ankles, exuding an unparalleled sexiness. The Sex Monster! The words flashed through Lambert's mind. He stood there calmly, without expression or movement, but his slightly narrowed pupils and slightly heavier breath betrayed his current mood. He wasn't as calm as he appeared on the surface. For someone who usually regarded women as insignificant, he was unexpectedly moved! "Ron, I feel terrible!" In a daze, Lydia mistook the man in front of her for her missing husband, twisting her waist to rub against Lambert forcefully. Hearing her call out another man's name, Lambert's eyes turned cold, and he pushed Lydia away. "Don't leave! Please!" The strong drug had completely deprived Lydia of her sanity. Her pupils were dilated, and she could no longer see the figure in front of her clearly. The instinctual desire in her body made her grab onto the man in front of her tightly. The endless emptiness made Lydia bite her lip tightly, tears filling her already reddened eyes, looking pitifully at Lambert. In those eyes, there was fear, panic, and boundless charm, captivating and piercing Lambert's heart like an arrow. His raised foot paused, feeling inexplicably soft in his heart. He changed his mind, scooping up the woman and bringing her into his arms, then pressed the button for the nearby elevator. Lydia was completely under the control of the drugs, her mind blank, her body burning to the point of almost igniting, longing for someone to come and cool her down. Instinctively, she reached out to touch the body next to her, which carried a cool temperature. Lambert's expression darkened slightly. Lydia's teasing actually elicited a reaction from him. His deep gaze stared at the numbers on the elevator, while he tightly held Lydia's hand that was randomly stroking. Ding. The elevator doors opened, and Lambert carried Lydia into the door of the presidential suite. "Hot... so hot..." Lydia, who hadn't found relief, was now tearing at the fabric covering her body in unbearable discomfort, but her lack of strength rendered her efforts futile. Meanwhile, Lambert's expensive suit, under Lydia's rubbing and tearing, no longer retained its original form. As soon as they entered the room, both were somewhat impatient. However, Lambert's movements remained elegant and cold, while Lydia appeared extremely restless. She was on the brink of madness, so as soon as Lambert placed her on the bed, she couldn't wait and pressed herself against him. Her fiery lips met Lambert's slightly cool ones, igniting sparks of desire. Lydia felt as if her tongue had swallowed chilled jelly pudding, making her unable to help but sigh with satisfaction. Her expression relaxed slightly, and she nibbled and bit on this delicious 'pudding', unable to alleviate her body's desire. But this was definitely not enough! Her body felt like it was on fire, urgently needing something to cool her down. Lambert chuckled darkly, watching the woman, who was like a fairy, entangle his snow-white legs. With a turn, he pushed her onto the luxurious mattress, seizing control. Compared to Lydia's random biting, Lambert's kissing skills were much superior. His meticulous and domineering kisses covered Lydia's entire mouth, making her breathless and only able to follow obediently into the peak of desire. Lambert's magical fingers explored Lydia's body inch by inch, making her unable to bear but moan. However, it seemed that every time she reached the edge of pleasure, she would want more. Lambert's eyes deepened as he stared at the woman writhing beneath him like a fish out of water. Finally, before she cried out in discomfort, he covered her entirely. The pain lasted only a moment but was quickly engulfed by pleasure. Lydia felt as if she were a small boat drifting on the sea, swaying with the waves. The pleasure came so quickly and intensely that Lydia couldn't help but moan. "Um... ah..." The instinct of her body made Lydia unable to suppress her shameful voice, only following Lambert's movements and becoming increasingly louder. A thin layer of sweat covered Lambert's forehead. His sharp eyes were focused on his prey, this was unexpected, but sweet, and he couldn't stop! After the initial dryness and tightness, what awaited him was the warm embrace and intoxicating sweetness. Lambert's usually calm and indifferent expression cracked slightly, as if he had been tempted by the poppy flower, his eyes gradually infected with the virus called desire. "No... stop... Ron... Ron..." Lydia had fallen into a coma. Her body yearned to be filled, yet she subconsciously called out her lover's name. Lambert's movements suddenly paused, a dangerous aura emanating from his eyes. Then, he became even more intense and frantic in possessing the woman beneath him, making her red lips, slightly parted, unable to utter any unfamiliar words other than moans. In the frenzy of the night, Lydia had long since fallen into a deep sleep.

Chapter 3 Chapter 3 Betrayed

The morning sunlight streamed through the window mullions, casting gentle rays onto the hotel's large bed, adding a peaceful aura to the sleeping woman. Lydia was awakened by the sound of the phone, slowly opening her eyes to find herself unclothed. Her head still felt heavy with sleep, but her current situation sparked a subconscious sense of fear. After a series of annoying phone rings, she heard a sexy, husky voice, "Hello? It's me!" The unfamiliar voice startled Lydia awake from her daze. Memories of her unconscious state flooded back, causing her fair face to instantly drain of color! She seemed to have been drugged yesterday! And apparently ended up in bed with a stranger! Lydia's expression was filled with uncertainty. She had been celebrating her wedding anniversary with Ron yesterday. How could a sleazy man break in, and that glass of red wine felt suspicious. A thought kept recurring in Lydia's mind, but she couldn't bring herself to believe it. She took a deep breath, biting her lip, trying to cover her tired eyes with her hand, only to find she had no strength to even raise her hand! "Got it! I'll be back soon!" The person in the bathroom seemed to be answering the phone. Though his voice was low and pleasant, it was absolutely unfamiliar to her. Lydia wanted to cry. She couldn't believe she ended up in bed with a stranger like this! Panic and dread made her bury herself under the covers until the sound of water from the bathroom ceased. Instinctively, Lydia shrank further under the covers, cautiously peeking out through the gap between the sheets. A tall man wrapped in a towel emerged from the bathroom. His physique was perfect, broad shoulders tapering down to a slim waist covered loosely with a white towel. Even his abdominal muscles and perfect V-line were clearly visible. Was this the man she had a one-night stand with yesterday? Lydia inexplicably felt somewhat relieved, suddenly curious about his face. As her gaze shifted upward, she saw a head of jet-black, tousled hair still dripping water, the droplets tracing down his bronzed skin, causing her cheeks to flush and her heart to race. Yet, a white towel covered his head, conveniently concealing his face, revealing only a pair of sensual lips and a sharply defined jawline. Then, the man turned to dress himself. He seemed to be in a hurry, quickly getting dressed and walking to the door. As he opened it, his gaze casually glanced towards the head of the bed, but Lydia had already retreated back under the covers. Lambert emerged from the presidential suite, where a Maybach had been waiting at the hotel entrance for some time. He got into the car, realizing he had forgotten something, but the matter on the phone was more pressing. Furrowing his brow, he gave a faint command, "Go!" After confirming the man had left, Lydia, with a pale face, managed to crawl out of bed. Her legs almost gave way beneath her before she could even get off the bed. Lydia forced a bitter smile, enduring the soreness all over her body as she made her way to the bathroom. The faint scent of soap lingering in the bathroom somewhat eased her emotions, and she splashed her face, gazing at her reflection in the mirror. On her fair skin were the faint traces of bruises, her lips swollen and even split, her delicate face still showing traces of satisfaction and exhaustion after lovemaking, her large eyes shimmering with tears. This appearance, anyone could tell what had happened to her yesterday, couldn't they? Lydia's face turned ashen in an instant. She had to go back! After such an incident, she had to get things straight! Yesterday, when she needed Ron the most, where was he? What exactly happened? As dumb as she felt, she realized something was terribly wrong, and a sense of dread washed over her, making her tremble with fear. But, no matter how scared she was, she wanted to know the truth! The clothes from yesterday were already unwearable, but luckily, Lydia found a set of relatively conservative women's pajamas in the wardrobe of the presidential suite. She gritted her teeth and put on the pajamas. Then, ignoring the curious glances of others, she hurriedly fled the hotel. Because of her peculiar appearance, many taxis refused to take her, thinking she was mentally unstable. Eventually, she met a female driver who, after her earnest pleading, allowed her into the car. Lydia returned home with a complex mood. Everything that happened last night made it difficult for her to speak. How was she going to explain? But more than anything else, she wanted to know why Ron didn't come back yesterday? How did that disgusting pervert get in? As she approached closer to her front door, Lydia became increasingly hesitant and fearful. The exhaustion on her pale face couldn't be concealed, attracting curious glances from passersby. Reluctant as she was to face it, Lydia had to muster the courage to walk up to the front door. Just as she was about to ring the doorbell, she noticed the door was ajar, and there were sounds coming from inside. "Ron, you're fantastic ......""You slut, let's see if I don't fu*k you to death!""That's not going to happen  ...... If I die, who's going to give you babies ......" The ambiguous gasps mingled with moans louder than the other, anyone could tell how intense it was inside! Lydia felt her blood run cold, her scalp tingling. The voices inside the room were unmistakably her husband Ron's and her half-sister Maggie's. Anger almost robbed Lydia of her reason. She trembled, wanting to push open the door, but then she heard the people inside mentioning her name. As if by some strange compulsion, Lydia withdrew her hand, wanting to eavesdrop on what they were saying. But soon she realized, she'd rather not hear this conversation, one that would only bring pain and despair. "Ron, that bitch Lydia still hasn't come back. Looks like our plan worked!" Maggie's tone was smug. Ron was equally pleased, "How could it fail when I took matters into my own hands? Don't forget, that silly woman always obeys me. She even accepted our sexless marriage." Lydia's weak and compliant nature, easy to control without her parents' support, was a significant factor. He genuinely despised women who were submissive like that. Maggie scoffed, "Are you having second thoughts? Don't forget, if that bitch finds out you married her just for her grandfather's fortune, do you think she'll still treat you nicely?""Maggie, are you jealous? After all these years together, do you still not trust me? God bless me, even though I married her, I haven't touched her! It's all for you!" Maggie laughed delightedly, "I know you wouldn't dare betray me! I'm not that bitch Lydia!""Yes, yes, how could you compare to that stupid Lydia? I just showed her a little kindness yesterday, and she obediently drank the drugged wine. I wonder if Louis was satisfied with her performance last night? It's crucial for a big deal.""I don’t know her, but I'm completely satisfied!" Maggie's giggles continued. One sentence after another in their conversation felt like being sentenced to death, with each word cutting into Lydia's heart. Her flesh felt sliced and sliced again, the wounds almost numbing her, leaving her mind blank. When Lydia finally came to her senses, the two people in the room had begun another round of intimacy. Maggie's moans and Ron's grunts made her stomach churn, nauseating her. They had been married for a whole year, during which Ron had never touched her, always saying the time wasn't right, always promising her the best. And she, foolishly, had believed it all. But, it turned out to be nothing but a joke in the end! Her sincerely treated husband turned out to be nothing more than a scammer after her wealth! He had been colluding with Maggie behind her back all along! Listening to their conversation, it was clear that everything from the beginning was a massive conspiracy! The drugged wine, that disgusting middle-aged man, how repulsive! After immense grief, Lydia felt nothing but boundless anger. She couldn't understand, why was all this happening? Was money really so important? Important enough to erase humanity and family ties? So, Lydia pushed open the door with all her strength. Her eyes were bloodshot, her hands trembling, her already pale face now ashen. Lydia felt like her world had collapsed overnight! The supposedly happy marriage in the eyes of others had suddenly turned so ugly and disgusting, that man she had sincerely given her heart to, stripped of his civility, revealing the heart of a beast inside! "Ron!"

Chapter 4 Chapter 4 Divorce

"Ron!" Lydia gnashed her teeth as she uttered the name. Compared to Maggie, who always liked to compete with her for things, Ron's betrayal cut her even deeper! Lydia's sudden appearance momentarily stunned the two people on the sofa who were engaging in their daytime debauchery. However, being shameless people by nature, they merely paused briefly when Lydia opened the door, quickly returning to their calm demeanor. Maggie leisurely dismounted from Ron's body, even giving Lydia a disdainful glance, before walking naturally into their bedroom to change clothes. Seeing Maggie's familiar appearance shattered the last trace of hope in Lydia's heart. She was indeed foolish! Maggie was so familiar with this place, indicating she had been here more than once! She even seemed more like the host of this house than Lydia herself! Ron showed no intention of avoiding the situation. He casually lit a cigarette, reclining on the sofa, exhaling smoke clouds, and spoke with extreme disdain, "What's wrong with you? Don't you know how to knock when you come in?" Lydia was stunned, tears of anger welling up in her eyes. Did she need their permission to come into her own house? How shameless could these two people be! "Why? I've been loyal to you, tried my best to be a good wife, why would you treat me like this?" Lydia stared fixedly into Ron's eyes. Once, she had loved those warm and tender eyes, always filled with ripples, irresistibly captivating. But now she realized, what swirled in those eyes was not warmth, but conspiracy. Ron sneered, his refined face softening a bit, his usually gentle eyes now filled with disdain and mockery. "Lydia, to say you're stupid, you truly are! You heard what was said just now, what else is there to explain?" Lydia's eyes also turned red as she raised her voice, "I just want a reason! A reason why you betrayed me! You were the one who pursued me first, you promised me a lifetime of happiness, but now? You colluded with Maggie to frame me!" Ron calmly looked at Lydia, whose emotions were on the verge of collapse, his eyes showing no emotion. He nonchalantly blew a smoke ring, extinguishing the cigarette in the ashtray. "Betrayal? Huh! I don't think so." At this moment, Maggie emerged from inside, dressed in the clothes Lydia immediately recognized as the set Ron had specifically gifted her on her birthday. At the time, she had wondered why the size seemed off, but since it was the first gift Ron had ever given her, she had said nothing and carefully stored it in the closet. Now, it was clear that the clothes were not meant for her. They were clearly Maggie's size! Maggie gave Ron a dissatisfied look. "What's with all this pointless talk with her?" Lydia's mind was already in chaos, staggering backward two steps. Maggie stepped forward aggressively. "Lydia, since you're so eager to know the so-called truth, I'll tell you straight. Ron and I have known each other long before you. We've been together for almost five years!" Lydia's legs gave out, and she fell to the ground, realizing it was indeed true! She felt so much hatred, so much resentment! "In that case, why did Ron actively pursue me?" She wanted to hear the truth, no matter how ugly it was! "Who do you think you are? Some celestial being worthy of Ron's pursuit? If it wasn't for your family's inheritance, I wouldn't even bother with you!" Lydia felt waves of darkness enveloping her vision. She bit her lip hard, the pain from her tongue helping her regain some semblance of rationality. Her hands clenched into fists, nails digging deeply into her palms, yet she seemed not to feel the pain at all. She wanted to listen! She wanted to understand everything clearly! She wanted to unravel the causes and consequences of this situation, to remember who owed her and who betrayed her! From now on, she, Lydia, would completely cut ties with these despicable people! With things having reached this point, Lydia had completely calmed down. She had understood everything now. It turned out that what they valued was just the assets left behind by her grandfather. Slowly rising from the ground, tears already streaming down her face, Lydia's heart was dead, her tears unable to flow anymore. She felt like all the blood in her body had congealed, her heart colder than ice. Trembling, she looked at Ron in despair. "You never loved me, did you?""Lydia, stop this nonsense! Do you think asking such questions now is meaningful?" Ron didn't answer; instead, Maggie took over. But Lydia stubbornly kept staring at Ron, as if she wouldn't relent until he answered! Ron's face darkened slightly, a hint of impatience creeping in. "Are you deaf? Or is your brain filled with shit? We've already made things so clear, yet you still ask if I ever loved you. Ridiculous! Just seeing you makes me nauseous, how could I ever love you?" Boom! Lydia felt the last glimmer of hope in her heart shatter. Her eyes swollen with tears, she unexpectedly calmed down when facing this man, with whom she had spent more than three hundred days and nights. "Let's get divorced.""Divorced?!""Since you and Maggie love each other, let's get divorced. I'll make way for you two!""Lydia, you're too naive! Want a divorce? No way!" Lydia was confused, her mind blank. What did this mean? A trace of disdain flashed in Ron's eyes as he exchanged a glance with Maggie. He chuckled first, then Maggie went into the room and brought out a few sheets of paper, tossing them in front of Lydia. "If you want a divorce, sign this first!" Originally thinking it was a divorce agreement, Lydia, upon seeing the contents, felt her blood boil and her vision darken. This was not a divorce agreement at all; it was a property transfer list. The agreement stated that Lydia voluntarily transferred all the inheritance to her husband Ron to compensate for the emotional damage caused by her infidelity. This was their plan! Lydia's heart ached with anger. How could they be so shameless! With a trembling hand holding the agreement, she said, "You two are the most despicable pair of scoundrels I've ever seen!" Maggie sneered at her, sitting arrogantly on the sofa opposite her, crossing her legs and trimming her nails nonchalantly. "Don't forget to sign it when you're done cursing." Lydia, furious, felt her head throb. She bit her tongue hard, the taste of blood and pain helping her calm down a bit. With a few quick movements, she tore up the agreement and threw it in Maggie's face. "Dream on! That inheritance was left to me by my grandfather, and has nothing to do with you two! I'll definitely divorce you, but you won't get a penny!" After saying this, Lydia turned and left, feeling nauseous about everything in that place. Maggie stomped her feet in anger, pouting as she said to Ron, "Ron, look, she's so mean to me!""Don't worry, she can't escape from us!" Ron pulled Maggie into his arms, his eyes flashing with a cold light. As Lydia left the villa, she realized she had nowhere to go! Standing sorrowfully on the bustling street, amidst the throng of people, she felt abandoned by the world overnight. She had no home, no purity, and even the love she once believed in turned out to be a sham! She bitterly smiled, unable to hold back her tears! The immense blow left her physically and emotionally exhausted. Suddenly, her head throbbed, her vision blurred, and she collapsed unconscious on the busy street.

Chapter 5 Chapter 5 Kidnapped

Lydia was awakened by hunger. She hadn't eaten or drunk anything for a day and a night, and her stomach had been rumbling for a while. She slowly opened her eyes, finding the surroundings dim. As she adjusted to the light, she realized she was in what seemed to be a warehouse. Some sunlight filtered in through the skylight, providing just enough warmth to keep Lydia from feeling too cold. Where was she? She remembered being on the street, with the sound of waves faintly echoing in her ears. Could this be a warehouse near the beach? The door suddenly swung open, and the glaring light made Lydia shield her face with her hand. As she adjusted to the brightness, she couldn't help but widen her eyes. "Awake, are you? How do you feel? Surprised to see us?" Maggie's face carried a mocking smile, ridiculing Lydia's naivety and foolishness. Why didn't she just sign the agreement? Instead, she had to make things so complicated, only to end up in their hands anyway? Ron stood next to Maggie, his gaze cold and unfamiliar to Lydia, making her feel like she was facing a venomous snake. "Did you kidnap me?" Lydia asked. Maggie clicked her tongue twice. "Darling sister, don't be so harsh! How could this be a kidnapping? We simply wanted to invite you back for a nice chat. Besides, we rescued you from the busy street. Otherwise, wouldn't you have been run over by passing cars?" Lydia stared at them, eyes wide. "What do you want? I won't give you my grandfather's inheritance!""Lydia! I don't think you've realized your situation yet. Do you think you have a choice?" Ron sneered and took out an agreement. "Sign it obediently; it's beneficial for both you and us." Filled with grief and anger, Lydia spat at Ron, "You beast! Bastard! This is illegal! I'll call the police and have you arrested!""Haha, that's if you can get out first. At this point, do you think you can leave if you don't sign this agreement?" Ron's mocking smile irritated Lydia's nerves. She clenched her fists, her mind unexpectedly clear. She surveyed the warehouse, considering her escape options. With her hands and feet weak, even if she wanted to run, she didn't have the strength. Lydia suddenly quieted down, surprising Maggie and Ron. After a moment of silence, Lydia spoke again, "Fine, bring me some food first. I'm hungry now, too weak to sign anything!" Maggie frowned. "Don't try to play tricks!""What? Can't you even fulfill such a small request? Or are you afraid that if I eat, I'll escape?" Lydia knew in her heart that whether she signed or not, she would die. These despicable people wouldn't let her go! She hated it! Hated the injustice of fate! Hated herself for being so blind, falling for such a heartless man! And hated the cruelty of these scoundrels! She couldn't die; she had to live. She had to get revenge! She would make sure these scoundrels had no place to bury themselves! "You're not capable of that!" Ron sneered and signaled Maggie to prepare some food for Lydia. Maggie grumbled but went out anyway. After a while, she brought Lydia a bowl of noodles and a bowl of water. Hungry, Lydia ate quickly without saying much. When she finished the noodles, she poured the water onto the ground, "The water's cold! I want hot water!" Ron signaled to Maggie, and she reluctantly went out again. When she returned, she brought Lydia a bowl of hot water, steaming gently. Gritting her teeth, Lydia stepped forward and grabbed the hot water from Maggie's hand, then swiftly threw it at Ron's face. Caught off guard, Ron was scalded by the boiling water, which also broke the skin on his scalp as the bowl shattered on his head. Blood mixed with water dripped down his face, making him look somewhat miserable. "Ahh!" Ron cried out in pain, and Maggie rushed forward to check on him. Seizing the opportunity, Lydia dashed for the door. "Don't worry about me! That bit*h has run away!" Ron, his face twisted in pain, covered the wound on his head with one hand and hurriedly chased after Lydia, with Maggie following closely behind.

Chapter 6 Chapter 6 Cliff Jumping

Lydia didn't know if it was lucky or unlucky, but there wasn't a soul outside the warehouse. However, not far away seemed to be a cliff, with the deep blue sea below. Ron and Maggie caught up with her. Despite her desperation, Lydia ran without considering anything else. Betrayal and pain filled her mind with only one thought: she mustn't let Ron and Maggie succeed. She couldn't let them capture her again. Running frantically, Lydia failed to notice that the direction of her escape was flawed. Her strength waned, and her steps gradually lost their initial lightness. Gasping for air, her lungs felt as if they were stuffed with sponges, making it hard to breathe. In contrast, despite his injury, Ron, being a man, quickly caught up with Lydia's pace. Maggie followed closely behind. As Lydia ran, she realized there was no path ahead anymore. The surging waves crashed against the cliffs, roaring menacingly. Lydia froze in her tracks, despair filling her eyes. "Why aren't you running, you bitch?" Ron walked up to Lydia from behind. Although his head wound had stopped bleeding, he still looked battered and fierce, like a demon from hell. Gritting her teeth, Ron approached and grabbed Lydia's arm, delivering a harsh slap to her face. Maggie, gasping for breath, also stopped and muttered, "This bitch can run alright, but it's useless. Even if she can run, it won't help. Not even heaven's on her side!" Ron used considerable force, causing Lydia's face to swell instantly. The searing pain, accompanied by the ringing in her ears, made Lydia's mind foggy. Then, Ron flung her to the ground. The sharp stones cut into her skin, and blood stained the rocks. Lydia's disheveled hair fell around her face, hiding her expression. Lydia's sorry state pleased Ron and Maggie, somewhat easing their earlier anger. Stepping forward, Ron grabbed Lydia by her hair, forcing her to look up. After the sorrow and despair, hatred surged in Lydia's bright eyes like a burning flame, waiting for an opportunity to consume everything in its path. "Bitch! How dare you hit me!" Ron yelled as he delivered another slap, causing blood to flow from Lydia's mouth, a chilling sight. Maggie stepped forward and grabbed Ron's hand, "Enough! Don't beat her to death; we're still waiting for her to sign!" Hatred filled Lydia's eyes as she stared directly at the couple before her. "Aren't you afraid of retribution for what you're doing?" Maggie sneered, "Retribution? What's that? Just something useless people make up to scare themselves. If there were such a thing as retribution in this world, your dad and my mom would have already experienced it!" Lydia's eyes widened. "What do you mean?" Her father? Her mother? A bad feeling crept over her. Maggie's smile turned more sinister. "Oh, you still don't know? Since you look so pitiful, I'll tell you. Your mom's accident wasn't just an accident. It was your dad and my mom who killed her! So don't talk to me about retribution! I don't believe in it!" Lydia's mind went blank, as if something had exploded inside her, tearing her apart. Her heart seemed to stop beating, and she couldn't find the words to speak. Tears streamed down her face, tasting bitter and salty. "Mom..." Lydia murmured softly, her eyes filled with despair and confusion. How could there be such malicious people in the world? Her own father actually committed such a despicable act?! He didn't love her, was cold to her, and though she was saddened by it, she never blamed him because he was her biological father! But who would have thought that there was such a shocking secret hidden beneath it all? She had always thought her mother's death was just an accident. So even when her stepmother entered their lives, Lydia didn't show much hostility, and even took good care of her stepsister, Lydia's half-sister. But in the end, the woman she had always addressed as "aunt" turned out to be her mother's murderer! And now, she was forced into such a situation! It was ridiculous and tragic! The whistling wind mixed with the crashing waves woke Lydia from her stupor, igniting a determined gleam in her eyes. Even if she died, she wouldn't let these scoundrels take away her grandfather's inheritance. They weren't worthy! Slowly, Lydia stood up from the ground, her slender figure straight and proud, like a snow lotus blooming on the edge of despair. The wind lifted her long hair, which danced in the air as she took steps back. Yet, she still smiled mockingly at Ron and Maggie. "You won't get anything! One day, you'll face your comeuppance! I curse you, may you never obtain your heart's desires! May you destroy yourselves, fall into poverty, and live a wretched life! Death is better than you!" Ron crawled to the edge of the cliff, watching as the waves carried Lydia's disappearing figure away. Frustrated, he pounded the ground and shouted at Maggie, "Didn't I tell you to catch her?" Maggie was initially stunned by Ron's outburst, then she retorted in frustration, "Why are you yelling at me! Her dying isn't that bad! Saves you from worrying about her all the time!" Ron's eyes blazed with anger. "You know nothing! According to the will, if Lydia dies unexpectedly, all the money will be donated to charity. Now we won't get a penny! Damn it! We've been wasting our time for nothing!" Maggie's expression shifted from annoyance to realization. "Oh... Then we need to find her body before anyone else does. We have to make sure there's no chance of her being rescued." Ron nodded vigorously. "Exactly! Let's search the area and make sure there's no trace of her left. We can't risk her being found alive!" With a grim determination, they began scouring the surroundings for any sign of Lydia's presence, driven by their desire to ensure that their plans wouldn't be thwarted by her potential survival. Maggie looked at the empty ocean with wide eyes and a little disbelief in her ears. "What are we going to do?" In the end, the two cursed and left each other, the lingering wind blew away all the sins, and this seaside was as calm as if nothing had ever happened before.

Chapter 7 Chapter 7 She's Back.

Six years later— Nova City Airport, just landed from Paris. Among the crowd, a woman slowly walked out from the exit passage. She had long, golden hair, so silky and shiny that it could rival those models in shampoo commercials. The woman had slender wrists, and delicate fingers were holding onto a soft and adorable Wythe. Wythe was about five years old, with a round face that looked serious at the moment, only his eyes were darting around mischievously, making him look particularly cute and clever. Since landing from the plane and setting foot on the land of Nova City again, Wythe noticed that his mother's mood seemed somewhat off. Therefore, he behaved very well along the way, not causing any trouble. Lydia's heart was filled with mixed emotions. She was back! After jumping into the sea years ago, she miraculously survived, rescued by a kind person and taken out of the country. It was the lowest point in her life, being alone in a foreign land with no family, no friends, and no job. She almost couldn't make it. Ironically, it was during that time she was found to be pregnant. Wythe's arrival was truly unexpected, but it also became her motivation to stand up again. So step by step, she started from being a seamstress and gradually reached where she was today! All the events of six years ago were buried deep in Lydia's heart, never to be forgotten. Ron and Maggie's framing and betrayal, the truth about her mother's unjust death—everything felt like a nightmare buried deep within her, constantly reminding her to stay strong. One day, she would come back for revenge! And now, she had returned! "Mama, you're hurting me!" Wythe's voice brought Lydia back from those sad memories. Lydia then realized that she had accidentally applied too much force on Wythe's little hand, making it red. "Sorry, sweetheart. Let mama massage it for you." Lydia felt both heartache and guilt, gently kissing Wythe's little hand before carefully massaging it. Wythe, with a serious face, rolled his eyes. It hurt more when she massaged it, but this was his mother's loving care. Even though it hurt a bit, as a little man, he couldn't show it. "Okay, Mama, we can continue walking now! This is the exit, staying here will cause congestion, and we shouldn't trouble the airport staff uncles and aunties." Watching her son earnestly educating her, Lydia found it amusing yet exasperating. Many times, she even doubted whether she was the adult or if the child was. "Got it, I'm back!" A low, sexy voice came from beside her, causing Lydia to freeze in place. Her gaze involuntarily followed that figure. It was an extremely tall man, dressed in a perfectly fitted smoke-gray suit. From her designer's perspective, it was definitely tailor-made, most likely by a master craftsman. His well-defined fingers held a cellphone to his ear, occasionally uttering a word or two. He exuded a certain aura and aloofness that kept people at a distance. That figure overlapped with someone from Lydia's memory, causing her steps to involuntarily pause, then she averted her eyes, self-mockingly shaking her head. After so many years, even if this person was that person, so what? Since the man she had a one-night stand with six years ago left no messages or clues, Wythe belonged to her alone now! During Lydia's momentary distraction, Wythe followed her gaze and saw the man's figure. He tilted his head curiously, wondering if Mama had finally come to her senses and was planning to find him a dad as soon as possible? Wythe shook his head. Mama wasn't that self-aware! It seemed like he would have to take matters into his own hands if he wanted to find a dad! The mother and son walked a little further. Lydia felt the urge to use the restroom, so she asked Wythe to wait outside while she went in. Walking through the long corridor, Lydia unexpectedly saw the familiar figure again. The man was briskly pushing open the door to the restroom, heading to the urinal. Even with such a mundane action, he did it with unparalleled elegance and grace. Lydia, following him in a daze, saw his fierce lower body and suddenly snapped back to reality. She let out a high-pitched scream, instinctively covering her eyes with her hands, her cheeks flushed, and stood there stiffly, unsure of what to do. Lambert furrowed his brows slightly but remained calm as he continued to relieve himself. The sound of water hitting the urinal made Lydia's face even redder. She angrily shouted, "You pervert!" Little did Lydia know that Lambert, seeing her in this state, had a flicker of recognition in his eyes. Memories from many years ago flashed through his mind, and his heart couldn't help but stir. It was her!
