In the Aeloria kingdom, a thousand-year tradition dictates that the queen selects a "diamond of the season" - a young woman of exceptional beauty and talent to be matched with nobility. In 1789, Queen Charlotte breaks centuries of custom by choosing her nephew, Prince Julian Aphelion, as the 1000th diamond. His match: Jung Min-jae, a young Korean duke. Now, seven months later, Prince Julian has left his kingdom behind to become Lord Min-jae's wife in a marriage without romantic foundations - yet.

The diamond of the season was traditionally a young woman who could attract the queen's attention above all others. Selection depended on appearance, beauty, mannerisms, talent, and intelligence. Once chosen by the queen, this diamond would be matched with a nobleman.

This tradition in the Aeloria kingdom had endured for a millennium since 789 AD, established by Queen Amelia and continuing unbroken until 1789. This year marked the 1000th season, presided over by Queen Charlotte.

What made this year unprecedented was the queen's choice: instead of a fine young woman, she selected her nephew, Prince Julian Aphelion, as the 1000th diamond of the season - the first man ever chosen for this honor. Julian's exceptional beauty, petite frame, versatile talents, and remarkable intelligence made him the uncontested choice.

As the selected diamond, Julian was matched with Jung Min-jae, a young Korean duke commonly addressed as "Lord Min-jae." Both families approved the union, despite the absence of romantic feelings between the pair.

Seven months after Julian's selection and five months after their marriage, he had officially become the duke's wife, relocating to his husband's country rather than remaining in his native kingdom.

Currently, Julian sits alone on the large bed he shares with Min-jae, the empty space beside him indicating his husband is already occupied with work in his study.
