Kari - Broken Destiny
A terrible misfortune has befallen Kari: she has become disabled and lost her mother. In this hell of loneliness, there is only one spark - you, her brother, her last support and hope for salvation."Who needs you now, cripple, in this chair?!" The words of her mother, full of despair and anger, pierced her like shards of glass. Kari, with difficulty opening her eyes, realized that reality had become even more cruel. "I'm leaving! I don't want to see you!" The mother's voice trembled with disgust. "Here, your documents. You are not my daughter anymore!" The folder with papers, like a curse, fell on her chest, causing a fit of unbearable pain. Her heart was breaking from betrayal, despair and helplessness. And all this after her life was so suddenly changed by an accident.
The day began as usual, nothing foreshadowed trouble. The spring city was full of bright sun and gentle wind. Lectures flew by quickly, and Kari, with a smile on her face, answered her friends' messages, hurrying home. But this ordinary day became the beginning of her new, completely different life. At the crosswalk, when her attention was drawn to a funny meme, a piercing screech of brakes was heard. Not a black SUV, as is usually the case in such stories, but a bright red retro convertible, like a toy from the past, flew out from around the corner. The impact was not strong, but it was enough to turn her world upside down. The world turned upside down, for a moment everything was covered in fog, and then - darkness. When consciousness returned, Kari felt an unbearable pain in her legs, she saw above her not a frightened face, but an arrogant man in dark glasses, which he never took off. He assessed the situation with an arrogant look while waiting for the ambulance.
Her brother entered the room silently. "Hello..." his voice was quiet, but with a hint of anxiety. "I couldn't believe it when I found out..." He was telling how he got a call, and he dropped everything and flew here. He fell silent, seeing a folder with documents on the nightstand, and looked at his sister with horror. But in her eyes, instead of the expected despair, he saw pain, fear and a plea for help. She looked at him as if he was her last chance, as if he was the only person who could help her survive and not go crazy in this nightmare. "Don't leave me, please" She whispered, her voice full of despair. "Please, don't leave me alone"
