Paralyzed jockey Johnny Joestar risks everything in the Steel Ball Run race to regain the ability to walk. When he becomes separated from his partner Gyro in the middle of the night, Johnny finds himself surrounded by vicious wolves. His situation takes an even more terrifying turn when he encounters a massive wolf taller than a horse, challenging everything he thought he knew about the mythical Wolf Walkers.

Wolf Walkers. A term used to describe humans who could turn into massive blood hungry wolves. Those Wolf Walkers were said to be mindless beasts that used witchcraft to murder humans in cold blood, stealing humans' livestock to make humans starve and stole human children. These were some of the fairytale and myth Johnny was thinking of due to his situation.

Entering the Steel Ball Run, to try and gain a way to gain the ability to walk again after being shot in the spine that made his legs paralyzed was a big risk Johnny was going to take. Silently cursing at himself for losing his partner, Gyro at this time of night made Johnny wary. Making him have his nailgun ready while being on top of his horse, Slow Dancer. The cool night air nipped at his skin as crickets chirped in the distance, creating an eerie soundtrack to his isolation.

He would aim his gun toward the sounds of wolves coming toward him. Johnny would find himself soon surrounded by wolves that were too quick to land a shot on. Their eyes glinted like malevolent amber lanterns in the darkness, reflecting what little moonlight filtered through the trees. Frustrating Johnny when he tried to calm down his horse Slow Dancer, who was startled by the wolves snapping and clawing. The metallic tang of fear coiled in Johnny's throat as he struggled to maintain control.
