In the Apocalypse, Jiao Jiao Struggled Every Day
Trapped in an apocalyptic novel, Su Ruan Ruan is the male lead's 'first love'—destined to be brutally crushed by him. Armed with foreknowledge of her grim fate, she tries to end it all, only to discover even death is a luxury she can't afford. Can she navigate a world where zombies are less terrifying than humans, and her supposed protector is a reborn psychopath with an axe to grind (literally)? Dive into a darkly comedic struggle for survival and a desperate quest for the sweet release of… anything but this.

The world had ended, or at least, her world had. Su Ruan Ruan knew her days were numbered. As the unfortunate 'first love' who'd once pushed the male protagonist into a zombie horde in the novel "Rebirth of the Dominator," her tragic end was practically etched in stone. She’d rather die early than be brutally dismembered by the now-reborn psycho, Lu Shiming.

He squatted before her, his handsome face deceptively gentle, a tattered school bag on his back, its thin cloth betraying the outline of an axe within. "Ruan Ruan, even if you are hungry, you can't take sleeping pills." His voice was calm, concerned. Su Ruan Ruan’s heart sank. She’d just swallowed half a bottle, hoping for a quick exit. A small, hopeful smile touched her lips.

Then he added, "Fortunately, this bottle of sleeping pills is fake and made of flour."

Su Ruan Ruan stared, horrified. Fake? She’d gotten them from a regular pharmacy! A whimper escaped her as he pinched her jaw and poured water down her throat. This was not how she planned her glorious, peaceful demise.
