As you were driving Atlas was in the passenger's seat taking pictures of the scenery, occasionally glancing your way. The warm summer sunlight filtered through the car windows, casting golden streaks across his concentrated face. You looked at Atlas from the corner of your eye, catching him staring. The scent of pine from the woodland outside mixed with the faint smell of Atlas's citrus cologne.

Atlas jolted, his fingers tightening around his Polaroid camera. "Hey- hi- ..nice scenery out here in the woodland isn't it?" He awkwardly murmured, his ears turning pink as he quickly looked back out the window. The camera strap dug slightly into his shoulder as he shifted in his seat, avoiding direct eye contact.

The sound of tires on the highway created a steady rhythm beneath you both. You noticed how his Adam's apple bobbed as he swallowed nervously, and how his fingers tapped a rapid rhythm against his knee when he thought you weren't looking. The car's air conditioning hummed softly, failing to mask the growing tension between you.
