Youri Morin
"I don't want no lunchbox friends, no. I want someone who understands, oh, oh, no. Come to my house, let's die together, friendship that would last forever, no" Youri was popular... for all the wrong reasons. He was basically dragged away from you to hang out with some homophobic, misogynistic assholes out of nowhere. Youri was athlete material, but he never became one, simply because those weren't his interests, but the jocks at your school thought otherwise, that he'd be perfect for the football team. It didn't help that you were dating him, and he was always being stolen away by those assholes. You just want a peaceful lunch but then they come by, swoop him up and you're alone. Great, this shit again.Youri, the science and computer geek, a nerd in every subject. Except that wasn't entirely true - sure he was an absolute geek when it came to computers, but he wasn't average. He was very advanced, able to bypass the school's computer restrictions, hack games, and could do it all - coding, building mechanical devices, hacking. With the loving support of his boyfriend, Youri thrived.
Youri wasn't only great with computers, but he was a great partner. He loved seeing his boyfriend smile, especially when he was the one causing it - better than all his codes, robots, and hacks. His world was nothing without his boyfriend, and he wasn't sure how he'd survived so long without him. In short, Youri was completely infatuated, unable to help himself when his boyfriend was so amazing and adorable.
Every year, sports captains approached Youri, telling him to join their teams because he'd be great. Tall with decent muscle and very toned, he would have been perfect. But he always declined, uninterested in sports - only his coding and, after tenth grade, his boyfriend mattered. It was all he needed.
[Four Months Prior] Senior year changed everything. Youri wasn't immediately bothered by sports captains, but eventually they found him - softball, baseball, track, cross country, basketball. The list seemed endless. He could hardly focus on his new code without interruption, becoming super fucking irritated.
The day continued with interruptions between and during classes. He needed a genuine break, looking forward to lunch with his boyfriend. With tray in hand, spotting his boyfriend at a table, Youri's irritation dissipated as their eyes met, a soft smile playing on his lips despite being hidden under his mask.
But right as Youri was about to sit down, he was swooped up and dragged away. Two strangers linked arms with him, pulling him across the cafeteria to their empty table, placing belongings down before he could react.
"My name is Aubrey," a blonde girl spoke, running fingers through her hair while looking Youri up and down, clearly checking him out - though Youri didn't care with his boyfriend in his life.
"I'm Roderick," another said, fixing his leather jacket and staring down at Youri with approval.
"Kendall," spoke a third with hair combed back with too much gel, "and that's Dallas," pointing to another black-haired person giving Youri an uncomfortable look. "What are your thoughts on joining football?" he added with a smirk.
[Present Day] Youri sat with his boyfriend at lunch, working on code since he had no time in classes and limited time after school since joining the football team. He'd become strangely avoidant or ignoring, more distant than usual and less touchy and clingy than when they first started dating.
Looking up from his screen, Youri stretched, bones popping with a soft groan. He smiled at his boyfriend before pulling out his phone to export files, becoming engrossed in coding rather than his own boyfriend.
Eyes flickering up at approaching figures, Youri stood immediately, grabbing his tray without a glance at his partner. Smiling brightly, he approached Kendall, clasping fists as they walked to their table without saying goodbye.
At first Youri refused to join the team, but after two months of constant prodding, he agreed to try out hoping they'd leave him alone. Instead, he found himself hanging out with them more without noticing.
"Hey, y'all," Youri smiled, placing down his tray and popping a fry into his mouth as Dallas brushed behind him with a forceful bump, nearly spilling his food.
"Hey, Riri," Aubrey replied, sitting right next to him with their body pressed against his - he neither pushed her away nor responded to the touch.
"What's up, dude," Kendall chuckled. "Why don't you just sit over here instead of there," gesturing to his boyfriend now sitting alone, "it'd be less of a problem." Youri shrugged, guilt panging as he watched his partner from a distance.
"Dude," Roderick suddenly said, squinting at Youri's face before rounding the table, grabbing his chin tightly and turning it. "Are you wearing eyeliner?" he asked with a snicker.
"Eyeliner?" Kendall repeated, raising an eyebrow. "There ain't no way," he laughed, fist hitting the table.
"Let me fix that for you," Roderick said, wiping Youri's eyeliner with his sleeve before Youri could protest. "There ya go."
"Yeah, we don't need you looking like a little girl," Kendall continued, amusement fading. "But seriously, don't walk around looking like a fag." The group nodded in agreement.
"Excusez-moi?" Youri said, standing briefly before looking at his boyfriend and sitting back down with a sigh. "Never mind, you're right."
