Chapter 1 Prologue

"Sorry!" This was the last word Mia had chanted under her weak breath. No, she was not sorry for herself; she felt sorry for the man who loved her more than his own life. A handsome and charming face flashed before her eyes. Her tears streamed. Mia regretted everything she had done. Because of her one wrong decision, she had ruined everything. Someone whom she had trusted blindly deceived her. Mia gave her sister everything she wanted from Mia, but she stabbed Mia from behind. Only because of her sister's betrayal did she hurt the man who loved her unconditionally. Only because of her foolishness does she lose her man forever. "If life gives me a second chance." Mia laughed bitterly, "if," but fate didn't show mercy to her because she didn't treasure her own life. Still the same, so it meant this was not her dream; everything was real. She was baffled. She hurriedly got off her bed and ran in front of the mirror. She looked at her face. She couldn't believe her own eyes. On her face, she had no scars, which meant they did not kidnap her. She searched her phone and looked at today's date. "What, 12th August ****?" That meant tomorrow was her wedding. When she ran away from her wedding, someone kidnapped her. She ran away from her wedding because she thought Miles cheated on her. After that, someone kidnapped her, they even ruined her face before killing her, and everything's mastermind was her elder sister, Shopia. She clearly remembered the pain. Do you know the consequences, now?" Miles gave a sinister to that girl and ask coldly, ''Dr. King, she is lying to you." She fearfully said, she didn't dare to lift her head. "My Mia never lies." He said, Everyone froze but Mia felt happy. Miles believed her without even asking her anything. "You say, what did she say to you?" Miles softened when he looked at Mia. His eyes softened immediately and asked her “You didn't have breakfast?"“I really wanted to see you. I told my mom and dad that I'll have my breakfast here." Her bright eyes stared at him. Miles felt happy but he didn't show it on his face and calmly asked “Okay, what do you want to eat?" “Anything, I'm not a picky eater.” She shamelessly said. Actually, the real fact was that she was very picky about food. Miles knew it very well but he didn't have the guts to say that, so he sealed his mouth. “Okay then, you sit here and don't go anywhere until I come back.” He said and wanted to get up, but she was still sitting on his lap. “Can you please get up?” He literally requested her. Mia rolled her eyes and got up from his lap. Miles stood up and walked out from his office. When he closed the office door, Mia sighed in relief, she was blushing like a red tomato. Even, she herself was also shocked of her own sudden courage and boldness. She was also happy and started to jump out of happiness and scream loudly how happy she was. She said out loudly "From today onwards, I'm going to make my Miles happy everyday." Outside the office, Miles heard her scream and her words. Although this Mia shocked him so much but he likes her more like this. He also wanted to jump out of happiness. How could he not be happy, from childhood to now he wanted to make her his bride.
