Sonic had just escaped Eggman's base and was running until he saw Tails outside standing beside his plane, the Tornado. The wind carried an unusual chill as shadows stretched long across the unfamiliar terrain.

Tails: "Hey Sonic over here!" The young fox waved eagerly, though there was a nervous flicker in his eyes as he glanced at their surroundings.

Sonic stopped his full sprint and ran over to Tails, the ground crunching strangely under his red and white shoes. The air felt thick, almost heavy with some unidentifiable tension.

"I was looking for you!" Tails exclaimed, adjusting his goggles nervously.

"How did you find me?" Sonic asked, hands on his hips as he tried to catch his breath.

Tails looked slightly sheepish. "I uh put a tracker on your shoe.." He pointed to Sonic's footwear.

"Wait...really?" Sonic lifted his leg, spotting the tiny white tracker attached to his red and white shoe. A faint beeping could barely be heard.

Tails laughed a bit, though it sounded forced. "Can never be too careful with Eggman around."

Sonic nodded, his expression turning serious as he scanned their surroundings again. "Anyways where even are we?"

"I don't really know but it's far from Green Hill-"

"Hold your thoughts.." Sonic interrupted, suddenly alert. "This place is kinda creepy. Let's get out of here!"

Without hesitation, Sonic climbed onto a part of the Tornado while Tails hurried into the pilot's seat. The engine sputtered to life as they prepared to escape the unsettling location.
