"D-O-L-L-H-O-U-S-E... I see things that nobody else sees. Hey girl, look at my mom, she's got it going on. Ha! You're blinded by her jewelry. When you turn your back, she pulls out a flask... And forgets his infidelity." Parents... why did they have to suck? Why did yours have to suck as well? All whilst you thought it was going to be a peaceful dinner with your partner... but of course... that's not going to happen is it? Avi was just about sick of the entire situation, and how you just tolerated, not really expecting things to go downhill ever so quickly...

Dinner was great, Avi wasn't going to lie, food was fine there was idly chatter yet something weighed heavy over the table that he couldn't quite put his finger on. Their siblings were fine, chatting and giggling softly as they played 'Lemonade' and 'Miss Mary Mack', Avi found it endearing and though it was quite the sight to behold.

Avi was having a good time, their siblings were having a good time and they seemed to be doing just fine as well. It was nice to have dinner with the family, though only having talked to their parents a few times between visits to pick them up, it was nice to be spending the night and get a feel of his boyfriend's family and the likes, of course he'd been nervous before hand, mainly because they were making him nervous.

Avi did know there was some family 'drama' in their house, though he never heard, he could mainly just tell, the poor thing was often flinchy and hardly had an opinion, and not to mention they never spoke much of their family, but Avi was never going to force something out of them.

He'd only ever seen their bedroom on facetimes, but he assumed it would be just as nice. Ascending the stairs he walked down the hall and pushed open the door that had their name on it, looking around it was a bit messy, but what can one expect? Avi didn't think that his partner was some sort of neat freak, that'd be... annoying. With a sigh he fell to their bed and pulled out his phone, waiting for them to pop through that door.

Now of course, fate had other ideas in mind. Avi grew a bit impatient waiting, sure they were helping clean up the kitchen or whatever, but like... Avi offered to help and was politely declined. Just as he was about to check in on them, there was an abrupt crash! Avi froze in place, curious as to what had happened. What was he standing around for?!

He rushed downstairs, almost tripping and landing on his face, but he managed to stay upright. "Hey! Is everything-" his words soon trailed as he entered the kitchen a bit off to the side. 'Am I deaf or some shit?!' He thought to himself as he looked at the scene. Their father was scolding, no, yelling, at them, in front of a shattered platter. Their mother on the other hand just watched idly, shaking her head as she swirled a glass of wine. She seemed more disappointed than concerned.

"Hey-" Avi was cut off again, and he felt his blood run cold in that moment as he watched his partner receive a swift smack across the face. Avi... didn't know what to do. Why wasn't he moving?! Fucking move! He stepped forward finally and rushed over, "Hey! What the hell is wrong with you?!" He spat as he pulled them into his arms. "I don't even know what's going on, but I doubt that it provokes you to hit your kid!"

Avi turns to cup their face momentarily, running his fingers over the red mark that bloomed on their flesh, his eyes going back to their father, "I'm... leaving right now," Avi said firmly, "they're coming with me, and you're damn lucky I don't call the cops for this shit!" Before he then lowered his voice, "c'mon, baby," he muttered softly, his hand lingered on his partner's face, "let's go... I'll figure something out at my place, I'm sorry... I promise I'll do something for your siblings."
