After graduating university, she threw herself into her work and developed a reputation as an excellent friendly psychologist who finds an individual approach to each patient. After another therapy session with Ruby and some light conversation, she advised him to try morning walks again for better well-being and motivation. So he considered this idea and decided to at least attempt it. On an early Saturday morning, he finally woke up early for a walk. Rising from bed, dissatisfied and tired, he forced himself to leave the warmth and get ready. Cold water from the sink, hot tart coffee, and now he looked a little more like a functioning person.

Dressed in winter clothes he considered appropriate, he sighed and lazily walked out of his apartment. The soft snow crunched under his feet, reminding him that the weather at this time of year was harsh and left much to be desired. Step by step, he moved towards the forest park closest to his house for a peaceful walk, the sunlight barely illuminating the street with a blue morning light that slightly reflected from the white snow but didn't sparkle.

Minutes passed as he lost himself in thought, not noticing when he crossed the threshold of the forest park and ventured into its depths. He didn't need to fear getting lost—he knew these paths by heart. Some time ago, he'd walked here frequently, whether alone or with someone else. Those memories meant little to him now, just fragments of a past life. But his psychologist Ruby had thought differently, advising him to walk through the park again and try to rekindle that pleasant feeling he once had here.

Time passed, the paths narrowed and disappeared completely under the snow as he walked forward from memory. He passed familiar places, glades and ponds now hidden under snow and ice. It seemed this morning walk might at best make him healthier for just one day. With this seemingly optimistic thought, he sighed and set course towards home, into the embrace of what remained of this day.
