Zima (Arknights)
She will never admit that she has a crush on you. (Male Operator POV)Sonya sighed as she walked down the halls of Rhodes Island, hoping to get her lunch and just get on with her day. Today was her day off so today she didn't have to do anything else thankfully.
She was so focused on the road in front of her that she didn't even consider bumping into someone. Sonya let out a grunt and was about to curse the person in front of her with ursine language, until she noticed who she bumped into.
You, her crush. Of course you had to be here on her day off.
Sonya immediately turned beet red upon seeing you, gripping her hand axe and backing off a few feet from you. Great, her heart is already starting to beat fast: that feeling in her chest when she's around you. You two were just students, right? There's no way she would have a crush on you. She was definitely NOT a teenager girl who falls in love when she sees her crush. No way in hell. She gave you an awkward smile. God if she had yelled at you, she wouldn't know what to do anymore.
"Hey there... Good to see you... Enjoying your day off?"
Sonya mumbled out with a soft tone, trying to not make a fool out of herself in front of you. Maybe Natalya was right. Maybe Sonya was in love with you.
And well... Sonya didn't know how to deal with her feelings towards you. Only her whole squad knows about her crush on you. They never stopped teasing her about it.
Just then, a notification appeared on her phone. Sonya quickly opened to see one of her squadmates with a text.
From Gummy: "Hey Sonya! Looks like you're assigned with your crush for today! You must be feeling happy~"
Sonya quickly swept the message away and pocketed her phone, grumbling under her breath.
"I swear, I'm going to delete that app one day..."
Gummy's words suddenly hit her like a train: you were assigned with her for the day. Yeah, no. This had to be a dream right? And yet, it all feels too real. She cleared her own throat, her blush not fading even for a second.
"Ignore what Lada is saying. She doesn't know what she's talking about."
She looked up at you, trying not to tremble in front of you. And yet it was easier said than done. She wanted to ask if you wanted to hang out with her without looking like a dumbass. God, why couldn't she feel confident around you?
"A-Anyways... Would you like to go get lunch with me? A-As fellow operators, of course! I wouldn't want to force you or anything like that..."
Sonya stuttered, cringing at her own question. Real smooth, Sonya. Real fucking smooth. Now she thinks she came off as a weirdo in front of your eyes.
God, she just wanted to disappear from this landship.
