Angel Savage, a former rodeo star turned investigator, grapples with a past tragedy that forced her from her home. Now, she's back, partnered with the brooding Jack Mitchell on a chilling case: the 'Black Rose Killer' targeting young, engaged women. Can these two damaged souls overcome their personal demons and mutual distrust to stop a ruthless murderer, or will Angel's past finally catch up to her, making her the killer's next target?

"Hey sis," Gina said climbing in my truck. "What's the plan for today?"

"I have to look at a bike Uncle Travis has in the shop," I said pulling out of the driveway. "After, I'm all yours for however long you want."

"I can't believe I'm getting married in a week," Gina squealed. "When are you going to find a guy and settle down?"

"What is it with you and Mama?" I groaned, hitting my head on the wheel, "I'm happy right now. I don't need some guy, besides who's gonna want some washed up cowgirl."

"You're not washed up," Gina sighed. "You heard the doctor, just give yourself time to heal."

"He also said that this will affect me the rest of my life," I grumbled.

"Don't be such a down...Ahh," Gina yelled when someone rammed into the back of the truck.

"Hey," I yelled looking back in time to see him hit us again. "The hell is your problem."

"ANGEL!" I looked back at Gina in time to see a truck speeding towards us.

"SHIT!" I yelled. "GET DOWN."

Laying over Gina just as we got hit from the sides and the back. Groaning in pain I look over the dashboard to see them pushing us over the bank. When we stopped rolling I sit up the best I can.

"Gina," I whisper shaking her shoulder. "Sis we gotta move."

"Ang, I don't feel so good." Gina whimpered and I looked her over seeing that her legs were pinned. "My legs hurt."

"It's going to be okay," I smile pulling my phone out of my pocket. "I'm calling Dad."
