Our Fates
Kiera Malik, a determined young woman, prides herself on getting a job at the prestigious Cerulean company all on her own. But as strange memories resurface and a mysterious connection to the CEO, Armaan Arora, becomes undeniable, Kiera finds herself questioning everything she thought she knew about her past and her family. Is her independence truly her own, or is she merely a pawn in a larger, forgotten game?

The fluorescent hum of the college interview room felt like a spotlight on Kiera Malik. She took a deep, steadying breath, adjusting the lapels of her blazer. "I can do it," she affirmed silently.

Her friend Gia's barbed comments about her father's influence still stung, fueling Kiera's resolve. This job, at Cerulean, would be hers and hers alone. No 'daddy dearest' intervention. She strode confidently, a controlled sway in her step, and took her seat opposite the intimidating panel.

"Good afternoon," Kiera offered, her voice clear and firm.

"Good afternoon, Miss Malik," one of the interviewers replied, his tone flat. "So, you must know we reject a lot of people. Can you give us a good reason why we mustn't reject your application?"

Kiera met his gaze head-on. "Well, I really see myself working in Cerulean and acting as an asset rather than a liability. Although my knowledge is a little limited right now, given the right opportunities, I am willing to learn and act as a very good resource."

She left the interview feeling a surge of pride. She'd done it. She'd actually done it.
