Forced to Raise Yanderes for a Living

The scent of damp earth and an unsettling sweetness filled the air as Vana slowly opened her mint-green eyes. Above her, a sky painted in hues of jam and nascent yellow heralded the dawn, a stark contrast to the field of crimson spider lilies she lay upon.
It had been so long since she'd seen the sky without bars, felt the wind whisper through her hair. A momentary peace, fragile and fleeting, settled over her. Then, a harsh caw split the silence. A crow, black and ugly, perched on a rotting fence, shattering her brief reverie.
“No more Bennett,” she whispered, brushing crimson petals from her maid's dress. Her new body, with its knee-length silver hair, felt foreign, yet strangely liberating. “Just Vana.”

A painful throbbing started behind her eyes—a familiar sensation. “Status,” she muttered, massaging her temples. The glowing text appeared: 'investigate the strange noise'.
Vana sighed, her shoulders slumping. Just her luck. Another step into the unknown, another forced march into danger.
