Asylum (Yanderes X Reader)

The house was a tomb, its silence more terrifying than the monstrous groans that had echoed just hours before. You huddled against the bed, Gabriel shaking violently in your arms, his small sobs the only sound competing with your racing heart.
Outside, the first light of dawn painted the sky in muted reds and oranges, yet shadows still clung stubbornly to the windows, hinting at the horrors that stalked just beyond.
"It's screaming," Gabriel whispered, his voice raspy with fear, his gaze fixed on the second-story window where a silhouette had passed just moments ago.
"I know, shhh..." you murmured, pulling him closer, your own eyes scanning the empty space. They were gone, for now. The house, once a sanctuary, was now a cage. A memory of Leo's disturbing visit, just before the literal rotting corpses arrived, flashed through your mind, rattling you to your core. Your parents were gone, leaving you and Gabriel alone against this nightmare.
As the sun began to truly rise, painting the room in a deceptive calm, Gabriel lifted his head, his small voice breaking the silence. "They're gone..."
You watched him, uncertain, before cautiously approaching the window yourself. He was right. The festering undead were nowhere to be seen. Still, vigilance was paramount.
