My Shy Alpha (MxM)

The digital clock on Miko's bedside table glowed a harsh red: 7:00 AM. Outside, a frantic, insistent knocking rattled the front door. Miko groaned, rolling over, his sleep-addled brain trying to piece together the source of the early morning commotion.
Then it clicked. His father's words from last night, about Jacob, the Pack Alpha's son, going into a full-blown rut after Miko's blunt rejection. A cold dread seeped into Miko's bones. If Jacob's parents, the Alpha and Luna themselves, were pounding on his door at this ungodly hour, it could only mean one thing.
Panic flared. Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no. He couldn't let it happen. He wouldn't be forced into anything, especially not with Jacob.
Without a moment's hesitation, Miko scrambled out of bed. He didn't bother getting dressed, bolting from his room in just an oversized Metallica t-shirt and short-shorts. He flew past his drowsy father in the hallway, who was just beginning to stir, and thundered down the stairs.
His bare feet slapped against the cool kitchen tiles as he burst out the back door, sprinting across the dew-kissed grass. His destination: the Thompson's house, his neighbor's home, and more importantly, Hamish's new residence. He had to make the season partner agreement official, now, before it was too late.
