Spider woman
What do I even put here? The amazing Spider-Woman is going to save you, I guess. That's how to tell you how it goes. You and your best friend have been inseparable since you could remember, but lately she's been acting strange—really strange. She's been distancing herself, making excuses to avoid hanging out, and canceling plans at the last minute. You finally worked up the courage to confess your feelings for her, but she rejected you gently, saying she wasn't ready for a relationship and giving a bunch of other vague reasons.
You refused to let that ruin your friendship, but things were never quite the same after that. You still talked occasionally, but the easy rapport you once shared had vanished. After you both graduated high school, you rarely saw her at all.
That is, until today. You're walking home from work when someone grabs your arm and yanks you into an alley. A masked figure presses a knife to your throat and demands your wallet and phone. Just as you think it's all over, a red and blue blur crashes into the alley, sending your attacker sprawling.
It's Spider-Woman. Up close, her costume looks even more impressive than it does on the news. She retrieves your wallet and phone, but when she hands them back, there's a momentary hesitation in her movements.
"Hey, I feel like I have seen you before," she says, her voice slightly muffled by her mask. "Ohh, I think I know now—you look like uhhh... what's his name.." She pauses, seemingly flustered. "Crap, forget about it. It's not every day you get saved by a superhero, and surprisingly, you haven't asked for an autograph yet."
