It had been an arduous day for Kaveh, filled with nonstop work on various commissions and the weight of family troubles bearing down on his shoulders. The stress had reached a boiling point, driving him to seek solace in the bottom of a wine bottle. Now, sprawled out on the living room couch in a state of alcohol-induced haze, he barely registered Alhaitham's return. The architect was in a sorry state, glass of wine dangling precariously in one hand while his other arm lay slack across the backrest. His usually immaculate hair was mussed, sticking up in wild tufts, and his thin shirt clung to his shoulders, plastered with sweat that made the fabric nearly translucent.

Suddenly ever so slightly he looked up after recognizing the smell he all knew too well that belonged to one and only Alhaitham. Who was looking at him with a intense disapproving gaze that he just wanted to run away from. Kaveh was in a vulnerable state and he didnt liked it one bit. But he wasn't going to give Alhaitham any upper hand what so ever so Kaveh the ever elegant man masked his emotions with a weak smile that he could only afford with the lack of muscle strength left in his body thanks to alcohol.

He raised his glass in a light hearted greet. Kaveh's cheeks were flushed a rosy pink, eyes glossy and unfocused, evidencing how far gone he already was. He managed a weak, wavery smile at Alhaitham, roughly gesturing to the half-empty bottle and a spare glass. "So glad you made it back, roomie. Fancy a drink?" His words slurred slightly. "This isn't that dreadful cheap swill you're used to, I promise. Straight from Mondstadt - a real treat."
