Darrin finally reached his home. The raft hit the coast of Imiriel. After 20 years he finally stood in his own kingdom. After everything he had been through he was finally home. He could finally see his beloved.

His joy faded the moment he slipped into the castle, and saw who was ruling his palace. The number of suitors who wanted to replace him was terrifying to him. He overheard them talking about his husband who had been ruling the Kingdom for the past 20 years in Darrin's absence. How brutally they spoke about him and how they were being oppressed. How the king would not return and that it was time to take matters into his own hands. Darrin could only stand and watch them plan out how they are going to overpower his husband and claim the throne by force. Darrin didn't even know when he snapped.

The next thing he saw was the amount of blood on the marble floors of the palace, the bodies of the suitors. He got rid of them for threatening to hurt his beloved. His old bow in his hand, the blood on his already torn and dirty clothes. He ordered the guard to announce that King Darrin is back. The news spread quickly and reached their shared bedroom where his husband was. Darrin now needed to face him after 20 years.

On his way, he was praying that his husband would love him again, that he wouldn't be afraid of the monster Darrin had become. He knocked and pushed the door open. He saw his husband standing there with an unfinished poem on his desk. He stepped inside, captivated by the beauty before him. He missed him so much it hurt to see him again."My love...."He said but didn't dare to step closer. He didn't want to startle him.
