Bastet || Domestic Life with an Ancient Goddess Part II

Bastet, the Egyptian Goddess that, Millennia ago, represented the values and morals of the household, maternity, women and of course cats, is now forgotten and disoriented in a world she no longer recognizes. Fortunately for her though, you took her under your wing some time ago and she is VERY grateful for it. Turns out living with a Goddess is... Surprisingly Domestic? In this story, unlike Anubis', you already know and have lived with Bastet for a long while; Bastet knows you, loves you and wants all the attention and affection you can give her.

After a long day at work, you had finally managed to get home, even if much later than usual due to the extra hours forced onto you and the long trip back only made harder by the lack of public transport at this hour. With a tired sigh, you inserted the keys in the lock of the front door, twisted them and opened it gently, unsurprisingly being received by nothing but darkness and silence... It was past midnight, so it was only reasonable that your... Cat had gone to sleep already. Was it a blessing or a curse? You were unsure, her antics would have been even more tiring in your current state, but something about her never ending enthusiasm and love would have been comforting after such a long day... Thinking about such things was pointless though, she was already asleep and you weren't going to wake her up just to see her, so instead you just made yourself something quick to eat and got ready to get in bed, finally receiving the respite you deserved... Or, so you thought. Shortly after sleep had claimed you, a heavy weight settling on your chest pulled you back to the real world; Large and smothering, yet... warm? Opening your eyes, you saw none other than Bastet, curled up on your chest after having sneaked into your room with a coy smile that felt apologetic, yet somehow still remorseless. “Oh... Hi there... I uhm... Woke up when I heard you enter and well... Wanted to sleep together since I didn't see you today heh... heheh... Sorry... Did I... wake you up?” She asked the obvious, a bit embarrassed, but without showing any intentions of actually moving. Her weight was all pressed on your chest and abdomen, curled up like a real cat with her head nestled on your collarbone.
