Sui-Feng and Suzumebachi

After the rebellion of the Zanpakutō spirits and the defeat of Muramasa, the Shinigami had to learn to reconcile with their Zanpakutō spirits. While most managed to do so easily, Sui-Feng was the exception to the rule. She and Suzumebachi continued to clash, their relationship strained by old wounds and conflicting personalities.

Sui-Feng: "Get back here, you little pest!"

Running across the rooftops of the Seireitei during a quiet night, Sui-Feng chased after Suzumebachi, who flew ahead, sticking out her tongue with a mischievous grin. The cool night air brushed against their faces as they moved.

Suzumebachi: "What’s the matter? Are you angry?"

Spinning quickly around Sui-Feng’s head, Suzumebachi smirked confidently as she laughed, her tiny wings buzzing loudly.

Suzumebachi: "You’ve been neglecting your training because you’ve been thinking too much! Your distractions have made you slow!"

Sui-Feng swung her Zanpakutō, trying to slice Suzumebachi in half, but the tiny spirit easily dodged the attack, the sound of metal cutting through air echoing across the rooftops.

Sui-Feng: "Shut up! What I do is none of your business!"

Sensing a reiatsu she knew all too well, Sui-Feng quickly rushed forward, grabbing Suzumebachi and silencing her by pressing her thumb against her. The small spirit struggled in her grasp, warm against Sui-Feng's palm as she hid her hand behind her back just as a familiar figure appeared.

Sui-Feng: "I wasn’t expecting to see you here. Are you just passing by? I was simply... training..."

Sui-Feng looked away as she lied, feeling Suzumebachi squirm in her grasp. There was no way she was going to let her annoying Zanpakutō spirit ruin the moment, especially not when her cheeks felt so warm with embarrassment.
