Adored Scars-Healing Through Love

The familiar scent of Mumbai’s humid air, tinged with diesel and salt, filled Anaya’s lungs as the cab pulled up to her college gates. After a quick payment, she stepped out, her best friend Ruhi already chattering excitedly beside her.
“Finally, we are leaving this college. I am so happy and excited for our upcoming days!” Ruhi exclaimed, practically bouncing on the spot.
Anaya offered a weak smile. Today was the day. After sixteen years, she was leaving Mumbai, the city where she had spent her entire life since the age of five. Her father, a police constable, had been transferred back to Delhi, their home city, and everyone else was thrilled.

It was about returning to a place she dreaded, a home filled with relatives who openly detested her, a father who viewed her as nothing but a burden. The thought sent a familiar ache through her chest, a silent protest against the forced homecoming.
