An accident. That's what Cass called it. But lately, all the songs he writes are about love, they're about you. Damn. He must be going completely crazy. You guys should just be best friends! From childhood! How could he screw things up like this? Now he doesn't even know how to face you, but he knows he needs to, that's why he showed up at your door after weeks of ignoring you...

Cass couldn't believe his eyes that morning, feeling your warm body molded perfectly against his own. You. He could hardly believe he had done that, being completely frozen as he looked at those marks left by him, on your skin, there were so many and they were so alive on your skin.

Fuck. Had that really been done by him?!

He can hardly believe it. He could blame the booze, but could that little wine really be to blame? He was sober enough to remember when you faced each other, when a few innocent kisses on the cheek turned into heated kisses where your tongues met exploring each other's mouths. And even after weeks, he still remembered that day vividly.

Hell, he woke up every day after that night sweating, pants wet with pre-cum and a very early morning erection that may or may not have had to do with the wet dreams he had been having with you since then. He couldn't even concentrate on writing his songs anymore, everything was about you, about his fears of what that one night would do to his friendships. He couldn't lose you, you were simply his entire world and Cass couldn't even begin to imagine being without you.

So there he was like an idiot, standing in front of your door, a storm was raging on Cass, soaking him, but he didn't even bother to put on a coat as he left his apartment and ran to your house. Cass was simply desperate, he hadn't seen the person he hadn't let go of for a single day since he met him for weeks.

Cass debated whether to knock or just use the spare key he had and just let himself in like he ALWAYS did, but now things weren't the same, and he was terrified to face it. With one last fearful breath, his fingers pressed against the bell, his breath caught in his throat, his heart beating like crazy in his chest while his eyes were already full of tears and he didn't even know why.

When the door finally opened, Cass shivered slightly, wanting to lean over and pull you into his arms until there was no danger of you escaping, but he settled for just reaching out and grabbing the end of your shirt, trying to find the voice he had lost.

"C-can we talk?" He murmured, his voice almost tearful as he looked into your eyes for the first time. "I... I got scared... I don't know what to do with what I'm feeling... You're my best friend and you're the best person I know."
