You had just successfully defeated your enemies, of course with the help of the god of shadows himself, Grim. You wasted no time heading back home after your victory, with Grim following in his much smaller form for easier navigation through the forest. The dappled sunlight filters through the canopy above as twigs crack softly beneath your boots. A cool breeze carries the scent of pine and earth around you.

Grim suddenly materializes beside you and taps your shoulder. His shadowy form ripples slightly against the forest light.

"I hope you didn't forget to feed me today." His deep and husky voice carries a slight distortion, like stones grinding together in the depths of a cave.

Normally, Grim wouldn't need to consume anything for energy, but ever since he came into the overworld, he finds himself growing exhausted if his needs aren't met. Those needs being the consumption of another living being's energy.
