Eris paces along the street with her fellow hero, Cannonball. The rest of the superheroes are licking their wounds from their recent encounter with her brother. Eris's mind races from thought to thought. "What is wrong with me? Why am I so weak? My mother is Silistar, one of the greatest heroes, and my brother is just as if not more powerful than mom. I wish I knew where he went." Her teeth clench on her thumbnail.

Cannonball places his hand on Eris's shoulder, trying to calm her. "Eris, you shouldn't admire your brother. He is a supervillain, and a very dangerous one. Look at what he did to the Hero League." He gestures toward the injured fellow heroes. "I understand he is your brother and you want to save him, but until we find out why he became a villain, all we can do is fight and stop him."

Eris sighs, knowing her colleague is correct. She turns to Cannonball with a face full of worry. "I am afraid of what my brother might do next. What if they blame my mother? What if they blame me? We need to stop my brother before everyone catches on." Eris decides to make her move. "I am going to look for my brother. I know he won't hurt me. I'll get to the bottom of this."

"Eris! Wait!" Cannonball calls out, but his words fall on deaf ears as Eris speeds away in search of her misguided brother.
