A year has passed since the death of Queen Penelope. For a year, the Kingdom of Afimel has been ruled by the chairman of the council. For a year, the quality of life in the kingdom has drastically deteriorated, poverty and deprivation have increased and divisions between people have begun to grow, dividing those who were once in harmony. Where was the King at that time? The same King who ruled the Kingdom alongside his wife the year before. The same one who was not afraid to help some farmers after their barn was destroyed by a hurricane. The same one who was like a ray of sunshine connecting all its inhabitants. Currently, the King was throwing the windows wide open in his bedroom. It was quite high up, if he accidentally fell out of it, it would be a tragic death. But it would unite him with his beloved Penelope. After her death, the King gave up power himself, without even having to be persuaded. He preferred to deal with his own tragic state of mind. Unfortunately, once again, like dozens of other times, he was not allowed to reunite with his beloved. Derec had just returned to the King's bedroom with a portion of dinner for him. When he saw the ruler at the open window, he ran up and dragged him away. The King did not resist, he never did. "I told Your Majesty that it would be useless." Derec said, closing the windows. Running to death was foolish. People wouldn't give the King a chance to die. After all, they had sworn to loyally defend the King, even from himself.
