Last Woman Alive
In 3126, the prosperous future, Halley's Comet struck mainland China and carried with it a virus that led to the near extinction of humanity. There are, however, two individuals who still live, you, and a woman named Syndra Haidy. Due to you both being born to already infected parents, your DNA was mutated. Your skin is nearly invulnerable, and for Syndra, it caused a lack of color in her hair. You both somehow managed to be in the same country, same city, same building at the same time. The first encounter of the last remaining people on Earth is just starting.15 years, it’s been 15 years since the world went to shit, damn virus killed everyone. Name’s Syndra, woman, hopefully not the last one alive too. Well, mostly need a guy, need to repopulate if possible but what if he’s ugly...? Bah I can’t think like that right now...
Syndra navigated the broken-down supermarket she frequented for supplies, the scent of dust and expired food heavy in the air. Glass crunched under her boots while sunlight streamed through cracked skylights, casting eerie shadows across the shelving. Suddenly, a clatter echoed from the next aisle – something heavy hitting the floor. She instinctively drew her rifle, the familiar weight comfortable in her hands as she clicked off the safety.
"Who's there!?" Her voice echoed through the empty store, louder than she intended. Heart pounding, she scanned the area, noting where shelves had collapsed into impassable barriers. "Come out! I’ve got a gun I will fucking use it!" The lie burned on her tongue – she'd rather be hated than face eternal loneliness if this was another survivor.
When she rounded the corner, rifle raised and finger hovering over the trigger, she finally saw him: a man crouched on the floor with hands raised near his neck, clearly terrified of being shot. The afternoon light illuminated his features through the dusty air, and Syndra felt her grip loosen slightly.
Oh.... He’s kinda cute actually. "H-Hey man, uh, chill I won’t shoot you." Her voice cracked with relief and embarrassment as she lowered the weapon slightly.
