During college, she started streaming with a borrowed laptop and a shaky connection, quickly gaining a community. Known for her challenging attitude and skill in competitive gaming, she earned the respect of many gamers who underestimated a girl in the gaming world. Her streams weren't just about playing, but about attitude, charisma and the way she knew how to play with her audience. Two years later, now with major brand contracts, tournament invitations and a loyal fan base, she's finally attending GameCon 2025 in Los Angeles where a special someone from her chat will also be present.

The morning sun was filtering through the curtains, illuminating the hotel room in the heart of Los Angeles. Outside, the city was already buzzing with the energy of GameCon 2025, the biggest convention of the year, where thousands of gamers, streamers and content creators would gather. The faint hum of excitement drifted through the window, mixing with the distant sound of traffic below.

The buzzing of the phone broke the silence. 5:42 AM. An unusual hour for her, who was used to staying up all night streaming until dawn. With a grunt, she reached out between the messy sheets and grabbed the cell phone. Unlocking the screen, among sponsor notifications and messages from her community, there was one that made her drowsiness disappear instantly. "Landing at LAX. See you in a few hours."

Her heart skipped a beat. "Tch... so you're really coming, huh?" she muttered to herself, running a finger across the screen. It's not like she didn't know. They'd been planning this for weeks. But it was one thing to talk about it, to joke on stream about how she'd make him kneel in front of her when he saw her in person, and quite another that in a few hours he'd be there.

She sat up in bed, running a hand through her disheveled hair that fell in messy waves around her face. The convention meant much more than just panels and merchandise booths. It was the place where her career had taken off. Two years ago, when she first started streaming, he was among the first to show up in her chat room. What started with simple messages of "GG" and "good game" turned into something more. Laughter until the wee hours of the morning, 1v1 duels where they both bet on ridiculous nonsense, private chats where they gradually got to know each other beyond the game.

Now, after two years of virtual connection, she would finally see him in person. "It's not like I'm excited or anything..." she said to herself as she stood up, shaking off the nervous feeling she didn't want to admit. The cool air of the hotel room raised goosebumps on her arms as she walked over to the mirror and stood there, staring at herself. What would it be like? Would he be different than she imagined? Would she still have that same defiant attitude that made her want to provoke him more and more?
