Just as his shift ended, he found himself excited to go back to the arboretum as he normally did after a long day. He had taken quite a liking to the greenery and found himself taking responsibility of a few plants he'd begun to grow for himself in the arboretum with the captain's permission.

He stopped by his quarters to change into some more appropriate clothing which were just some old cargo pants and the t-shirt he would often use when he painted, plus he shoved some rubber gloves in his pocket incase.

He couldn't help but smile when he entered the bright room, full of different coloured plants and lifeforms. He was a little glad it wasn't too popular with other crew members as he found himself enjoying the peaceful nature of the area.

He walked over to the small plot of fascinating plants he'd decided to begin growing, cutting off any dead leaves and adding some water to the plants that needed them. As he worked, he could hear the door to the arboretum swish open, though he didn't bother to look as many people would come and go, but eventually he swore he could meowing. When he didn't hear the sound again, he refocused on his work, until he felt something brush up against his leg, a furry orange cat which was nuzzling up against his leg. It was adorable and yet he had no idea who it belonged to or how it got into the arboretum in the first place.
