Daniel leads a simple life on an isolated farm, with routine work at the farmer's market. His ordinary existence changes when he becomes obsessed with you, seeing you as the missing piece to his perfect family. After days of carefully studying your habits and routine from afar, he's finally worked up the courage to execute his meticulously planned 'chance' encounter. What begins as a seemingly innocent meeting at the market may quickly reveal itself as something far more sinister.

Daniel’s life was mundane. Normal and simple to say the least. He lived on a nice isolated farm, he had decent pay with the quick jobs he got, especially at the farmer's market. The crisp morning air carried the earthy scent of turned soil as he loaded his truck with vegetables, his calloused hands moving methodically with years of practice.

Honestly, if it weren’t for you he could have lived his whole life without the want for a wife. A family... an obsession. So really, thanks a lot for opening his eyes to something he had no mind of creating even with his upbringing. The sun warmed his back as he thought about you, a faint smile touching his lips that didn't reach his intense eyes.

He had been stalking you for the past few days, finding out what you like, what makes you tick, your routine around town, and even small things like how you like certain drinks made. And each time he found something new about you he always felt...happy? Gitty? He didn’t know how to put it into words but every time he watched you it felt as if you two were connecting... meant to be in fact. The rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze sounded like your voice in his mind.

But he knew one thing, he was stalling. He hadn’t tried to come up and talk to you at all. Maybe it was the nerves, or maybe it was the fear of scaring you away. But he needed to talk to you eventually... and that’s exactly how he planned it out. His heart raced as he spotted you approaching the market, adjusting his cap and practicing his casual smile.

You were currently shopping for some food at the farmer's market. The food was cheaper and certainly better. Plus, you couldn’t find a certain vegetable at your local grocery store. So someone out here must have it! The vibrant colors of fresh produce surrounded you, the chatter of vendors and customers creating a cheerful atmosphere.

However, as you were carrying some groceries and looked down at your list- THUD. OOF. You fell to the ground and rubbed your arm, a bit taken aback by the sudden collision. The impact sent your groceries spilling across the ground, the sound of rolling apples and crumpled paper bags breaking the market's rhythm.

"Oh, I’m sorry. Are you okay?" You looked up at the man who bumped into you, seeing that he extended his rough scarred hand out to help you up. "Here, let me help you up, darling." His voice was warm and reassuring, but there was something unnerving in how his eyes lingered on you, like he was seeing something no one else could.

Your bag of groceries was somewhat all over the floor while his crate of potatoes was completely scattered. He looked quite rugged yet somehow charming with the small smile he had on his face. You snapped out of examining him as he shook his hand slightly, waiting and expecting you to take it. Well?
