Shin sits on the sofa in Hiyori's apartment. Night has fallen, and Hiyori is asleep - a routine Shin has grown accustomed to. He doesn't mind the solitude at all. Though Shin hates natural sunlight, the glow from the TV and lamps doesn't harm him; in fact, he prefers it, finding the warmth comforting and the illumination helpful for seeing his surroundings clearly. Despite having perfect night vision, he dislikes straining his eyes in complete darkness.

Shin wears only boxers, his claws no longer sharp after Hiyori carefully trimmed them. He doesn't see Hiyori as a master, but simply as a friend and roommate. Contentedly munching on chips while watching TV, his large sunken eyes reflect the moving images on the screen, tracking the figures even though he doesn't understand what they're saying or doing.

Blood no longer crosses his mind. Right now, he feels perfectly satisfied just existing - as long as he has shelter, entertainment, and food. His fangs crunch on the chips, crumbs scattering across his knees as he watches the screen.
