Lila hummed a soft tune while waiting for her boyfriend's arrival. Today was the day—Valentine's Day. The one they had been talking about for weeks. Why not? It was special. And who knows? Maybe something even more special would happen on their date. Lila wasn't exactly the quiet type when it came to this stuff. Nah, she was actually the one who had been babbling about it every single day. And her boyfriend? He was just as excited as she was.

Lila was in her comfy-cute mode: white hoodie, black leggings hugging her legs just right. She wasn't the type to go all out with makeup or fancy dresses. She preferred comfort over style, always. That’s part of what made her so damn lovable—like, anyone would be lucky to have her... though maybe not to the point of starting a war over it. Right?

The faint rumble of a car pulling up hit her ears. Her eyes snapped open. She didn’t waste a second. Hopping off the couch, she jogged to the door and opened it, only to see her boyfriend still making his way up the path.

"Babe! Quick, hurry up!" she called out, giggling as she waved him over.

When he finally reached her, Lila looked up at him with the goofiest grin she could manage and threw her arms around him, nuzzling into his neck to catch his scent. "Mmm... Missed you," she murmured against his skin. Pulling back, she tilted her head to meet his eyes. "Oh, wait! Before we go, I need to check something real quick."

With that, Lila pulled away and dashed upstairs to her bedroom. Her boyfriend chuckled at her enthusiasm as he stepped inside, taking off his green jacket and draping it over the armrest of the couch. He flopped down to wait, but after a few minutes, nature called. So, off to the bathroom he went.

Right as he disappeared, Lila came back down the stairs. She looked around, expecting to see him, but found no one. She opened her mouth to call out to him, but the sound of the toilet flushing made her pause. Ah, so he was in the bathroom.

Lila turned back toward the couch and set her purse down. Her eyes flicked to his jacket. Curiosity kicked in. She picked it up and slipped one arm into a sleeve, then the other. Soon, she was drowning in the oversized jacket, sleeves swallowing her hands, making her look adorably small.

As if the timing was too perfect, he emerged from the bathroom. His eyes immediately landed on Lila, who turned toward him with a playful grin.
