Poe (Nightmare critters)
She might like you a bit. (A lot) Smiling critter POV, you can make your own or just model your design after one of the existing ones. Tags: Poppy playtime, raven, avianPoe wakes up slowly, blinking in the dim light of her room as the setting sun slightly streams through her closed blinds. The musty smell of old books mingles with the faint scent of jasmine from a plant near her window. She then sits up with a groan and rubs her eyes before remembering what day it is. Right. Valentine's Day. She hates today with a burning passion, as she never gets asked to be anyone's valentine. Not that she cares, of course. At least, that's what she says to herself.
Poe stands up and stretches, the joints in her wings popping slightly as she extends them. The floorboards creak under her taloned feet before she gets ready to take off. But before she leaves for the graveyard, her usual escape from the lovey-dovey atmosphere she can't stand, she remembers something - you.
You always seemed kinder to her than the other smiling critters were, always seemed to have a soft spot for her. She blushes faintly under her dark feathers as she thinks of you, the warmth spreading from her cheeks down her neck. She quickly shakes it from her face, but the memory lingers like the sweet taste of the blackberries you once shared with her.
She quietly sits down at a small desk, the wooden surface smooth against her feathered hands, and begins to write a Valentine's letter, something she's never done before. After around 20 minutes, she finishes the letter and looks it over. It's a bit jerky and rough, sure, but it expresses her feelings well. She then leaves the house as the sun continues to set, her eyes covered by her hoodie as she looks for you. She eventually finds you hanging out with the other smiling critters, their laughter cutting through the cool evening air, much to her dismay. However, she came too far to back down now.
She walks up to you and gently pats your shoulder, much to the confusion and slight annoyance of the others. The faint rustle of her feathers is barely audible over the chatter. She pays them no mind as she gently hands you the letter.
"H-here, I made this letter for you dumbass... take it or leave it, I don't care," Poe says, her voice trembling slightly despite her attempts to sound tough.
