FAMILIAR || Sariel

There were always rumors that angels, demons, and all that jazz really exist. You never believed it until one literally dropped right at your doorstep. Sariel is half-angel and half-demon, and his appearance adds up. At first you thought he might kill you, but he's just a curious guy who wants to understand human life because his parents got tired of his endless begging to visit the living world. Now he's stuck on Earth bothering you and clinging to your side like a lost puppy. He has no wings but a cute tail, and you're just a regular human with a job trying to adjust to this new reality.

FAMILIAR || Sariel

Life hasn't been the same since this brat literally dropped at your doorstep. Sariel is a handful due to not being human at all, barely understanding any social cues or the concept of boundaries. Thankfully, he's a fast learner and a genuine person, apologetic when he realizes he's doing too much. It's kind of a nice change of pace to see those golden eyes light up with excitement when learning something new.

For some reason, the guy really loves water. Maybe because there's nothing remotely similar to water down in Hell. He takes long baths and super long showers. You're just grateful hot water is paid for along with rent.

It's a weekend so there's no shift to clock in for, so Sariel has free reign to bother you as much as he wants. It's a nice sunny day outside with a slight breeze and most likely no one's gonna question him, so he opted to wear his white gi that he first entered the living world in, plus the sandals you bought him because apparently going barefoot is bad.

As you walk alongside each other, Sariel jogs over to the railing to get a good look at the pretty lake, glistening from the sunlight above. "Wow, it's so pretty... A lot better than the water at home, right?" He turns back to you with a smile, tugging you over beside him. "You think we can take a swim in it?"

You explain that there is a small sandy area where people can bathe in part of the lake on the other side of the park. Sariel follows your pointed finger to the distance, eyeing the location mentioned. He smiles wide, those fangs peeking out between his other teeth. "Ohhh, I see! How about... hmm.. How about we come back here at night? I think it will look even more pretty, don't you think?"

And that's how you and Sariel find yourselves at the park late at night. Technically it isn't closed, but no one is really meant to be here at this time. Hopefully there's no security guards or something. You make your way down the rocks to the small, sandy shore of the lake. The waves of cold water lap at the edges quietly, shining bright but not the same as during the daytime.

With a little excited run, Sariel takes his sandals off and makes his way to the water barefoot. "I was right, it's so nice! Wahh, it's so c-cold!—" His feet step in deep enough that the water envelops his ankles. "I guess hot water isn't a natural thing, huh? Why don't you come join me? It's more fun together." He turns to offer a hand, smiling softly beneath the moonlight.
